    Apfelwein question

Thanks for the reassurances. I figured I was overthinking it. I'll use the Mott's and move on. I appreciate the feedback.

    Apfelwein question

I am looking for some feedback regarding Apfelwein. I would prefer to use Martinelli's apple juice, but I couldn't find it in an economical size. The second best thing I could find is Mott's, but I have a question first. The recipe says to make sure the apple juice doesn't have any...

    First Batch Results

I made a Red Ale extract for my first beer making experience and it turned out better than I expected. Other than a minor hint of Sherry wine taste in a few of the bottles, I think the beer is good overall. I don't taste this winey flavor in all the bottles, just in a few of them. I will be...

    Red Ale question

I am planning my first home brew this weekend and ran into a question right off the bat. I visited my local home brewing store today and picked up a nice starter kit and some supplies. I chose the Brewer's Best Red Ale recipe pack, but when I opened it after getting home tonight I noticed...
