    Key Lime Pie Berliner

I love brewing with graham crackers!! When brewing with graham crackers, make sure to use a brand without preservatives. Nabisco Honey Maid works great. The graham crackers from Aldi have preservatives and will inhibit yeast activity.

Experimental Beer Slim's Graham Cracker Ale 2.0

Setesh, Thank you for posting the very interesting results of your testing. I never thought of balancing vanilla and oak but that makes sense. I also think that it's possible to over oak this beer and don't want to fight the chocolate or overwhelm the graham cracker quality. The last time...

Experimental Beer Slim's Graham Cracker Ale 2.0

That would be really great. I would love to know what you think. Let me know. I'm planning on brewing this Sunday but won't be using the barrel for at least a few more weeks.

Experimental Beer Slim's Graham Cracker Ale 2.0

I enjoyed making the recipe last year with excellent results. I added some Victory Malt and used an "English sparge" for the first time. I just purchased a rum barrel (actually two of them) and will brew another 10 gallon batch and age for a month or so. Anyone have any experience barrel...

How much 2 month old slurry for 6 gallons?

I just used about 4 cups of 8 month old slurry from a combination of Belgian yeasts and it took off like crazy. Kept it in the fridge the entire time. 5 gallon carboy exploded three times at 66F. Who would have known?

    5 Day Sweet Country Cider

I would be very hesitant to ignore pasteurization at that fg unless you can keep them refrigerated.

    Group Buy in Chicago #8

Well, all's well that ends well. Some of us got a second bite at the apple and all splits seem to have been filled. I hope nothing tragic caused the few guys to pull out. Can't wait to get the order. Looking forward to seeing you all at pick up.

If we assume a payment cut off of Monday or Tuesday, what's the epa for pick up?

Maybe each participant should deposit $20 for access to the order portal, to be applied to their order but forfeited if they dissapear at payment time.

From the last buy, I have third-pound vacuum packed packages of Matueka, Saaz and Fuggles and would trade for approximately equivelant amounts of Simcoe or Zythos. Sorry for the odd sizing but that's what I have.

I added a 12 pack of dark belgian syrup packs, and opened a split for half of it. That does not seem to be working, as the split section is showing 3/3 available. What should I do? I'm happy to take the entire box if we can't split this item. Update - I think my split was entered propertly...

That was my assumption but it woudl be great to have a second opinion. It's always nice to think time is on one's side.

This was my grain bill. I mashed at 152F repitching US-05 from a nut ale (I don't think that was an issue). The ferm temp kept in the 63F to 67F range. I hopped it very lightly with Summit (60) and UKG (20 and 10). I'll get a bottle to Bill (plus one for him) at the beginning of the next...
