    Problem with Barley Crusher Mill

We bought a Barley Crusher Mill w/ 7 lb hopper about 6 months ago. Had only used it a couple times before one of the adjustment pins came completely loose and slips all the way open while we are grinding our malt. We have to hold the pin with a set of pliers now to keep it in the...

    stainless steel bucket fermentor

Since there's not much info out there on these yet, here's a few pics as well as a review. We just got our hands on this and just brewed a batch that is currently fermenting. To answer the couple questions from my personal experience with it: Top seals very well- silicone gasket w/ 4...

Chronical Fermenter by SS Brewing Technologies

@copbrew133 - I haven't used their products yet, but I do have a Brew Bucket and will be filling it with a pale ale this weekend. I've seen the "chronical" up close and it is well made. The price-point that SS is hitting is finally making fermentation in stainless a viable option for many...

    Cheers! ~ From Keg Outlet

Thanks for the comment - we're still working on things like this, right now, we offer flat rate shipping for simplicity. Our site currently does not have the size/weight/dimensional information for each product, so we can't really offer different options/shipping types based on the product...

    Fermintation in secondary

That will only help it taste better! But the only thing you need to worry about is having enough living yeast to still carbonate once in the bottles. We have done batches where we let the beer refine in the secondary too long and there just wasnt enough yeast to get a good carbonation in the...

    Beer Smells Like Rotten Fruit

What was the temperature at which your beer fermented?

does a growlers carbonation last over a day?

If you can get them filled as quick as possible, with little to no airspace in them, and get the bottles sealed well, they will last days. I have had some last weeks!

    Adding a Cornelius Regulator to a Tap-Rite

The Taprite Regulators are left threaded, this one will allow you to Add a Body to Taprite Regulator Then you can just add your remaining pressure gauge back on to the added body.

    Liquid Connection

Why don't you just remove that nut that is too large, clamp on a swivel nut to that beer line, then screw on the swivel nut to your disconnect? That would probably be easiest in my opinion.

    Which bines should i cut?

Yeah, let them grow a while and get some strength before cutting them. Then chose the best 2 bines to keep.

2.5 Gallons in 6 Gallon Secondary - Too Much Headspace

Agreed, you dont want that much airspace in your secondary. Gert yourself a 3 gallon glass carboy, that would be perfect!

The Complete Joy of Home Brewing is probably one of the best books you can have as a beginner. It takes you through all the basics and beyond. It also gives you plenty of recipes, most of which are pretty basic, so you have some options. I would recommend getting that book, give it a quick read...

    Newbie Questions

You don't need a keg... That link is an adapter that screws on top of a 2L soda bottle so you can carbonate in there.
