    Wyeast 1318

    Anybody ever use this strain and have a very fast fermentation time? I pitched a starter that started to takeoff within 4 hours, had very vigorous fermentation for a day and then nothing. I've never used this strain before and don't know what to expect. Anybody have any experience with this?

    Mystery Hops

    My neighbor just dropped off about 10oz of hops he grew in his yard. Have no idea what type they are or anything else about them, just that they are hops. I've never brewed with whole leaf hops let alone mystery hops, any recipe suggestions out there for these guys?
