Things about your co-workers that annoy you

    Whoa. Not. Cool. Sorry, man.

My idea for an adjustable 3 tier stand, thoughts?

Looks similar to the concept I've been rolling around in my head for a build. But instead of the holes through the frame, I was thinking about pegs out one or both sides of the upright, with a slotted C collar on each tier that would just slip over the peg. No positive lock - would always come...

    Dogs

Thanks everyone. Its kind of hard to believe how much this has wrecked me - and even more so my family. My dad stopped by my house on Sunday afternoon on his way to Omaha... he never does that. But he kind of knew the inevitable, and wanted to see his buddy one last time. I'm 38 years old...

    Dogs

A day I've been dreading for years, but it has finally come. Sage had what the vet thinks was a pancreatitis attack a month ago, and seemed to get over it. It flared again Friday, and he hadn't eaten or drank anything since Thursday. By yesterday, he couldn't get up on his own, and once you...

Things about your co-workers that annoy you

Not to mention, with a public project, you have to make sure that you provide the same exact information to all bidders. Just sent an addendum to bidders, used BCC to send the email once and make sure it was the same for all of them.

Things about your co-workers that annoy you

I'm glad I don't work for you. It has its uses. In my company, it gets used more from top-down than from bottom-up. Not sure how your weasel statement applies to that.

Things about your co-workers that annoy you

Ah yes, the infamous ID-ten-T error. Or the less common variant, PEBCAK.

Things about your co-workers that annoy you

There is actually a relatively easy solution to this - but it has to be implemented by the sender. Send the email to yourself in the To: field, and use a blind carbon copy (Bcc) for everyone else. On the recipient end, it only shows that the email was sent to them, and reply all will only go...

Things about your co-workers that annoy you

I swear, we work for the same place. (if the staff numbers weren't drastically different). We've had guys pull the "I prefer to work on my local machine" - for various reasons, including "I don't want to mess up, if I leave a copy on the server I can mess up the local copy, and always have a...

Things about your co-workers that annoy you

Had a guy working for us for a while that was the dumbest smart man I've ever known. Was a pretty good engineer, but completely OBLIVIOUS to anything going on around him. You could literally be talking about him IN FRONT OF HIS FACE and he wouldn't notice. Hated it when he parked next to you...

Things about your co-workers that annoy you

Our company prides itself on being responsive to clients, so the auto-reply is as much, if not more, for people outside of the organization than it is inside. Anyone inside can look at our Skype app and see that I haven't been at my desk for 4 days. An auto-reply is also, to a spammer...

    BYO 2 for 1 special

Yep, mine is sitting on the counter right now.

Things about your co-workers that annoy you

Yes, what a novel idea. It's even company policy that we use auto-reply. But this @$$clown still feels the need to broadcast it. Personally, I HATE using auto-reply. I make it a point to never talk about my vacations or travel plans on social media, etc. for the express purpose of not...

Things about your co-workers that annoy you

I work for a growing engineering firm (Zweig Hot List, ENR Top 500, etc.) In the last 5 years, my previous company merged with the firm I'm now with, and we've bought out two other firms, with a few more acquisitions in the works. One of the acquired firms was a small family owned architecture...
