wheat beer to the secondary or not? please help

Hi! This weekend I made a wheat beer, and while putting the wort on the fermenter, quite a lot of break material and hops made their way to the fermenter! I´m thinking in transferring to the secondary tomorrow, and let it stay for another two weeks. I´ve read the trend is not to do a...

boiling hops in a separate pot?

Hi all, I´m about to make a hefe weissbier, partial mash method, but my stove is not powerful enough for getting a good boiling of around 15 liters, so, I´m thinking in boiling the hops in a 3 liter pot (60 minutes) and the rest of the wort in another larger pot for just 15-20 minutes. I may never wash yeast again!

I have a question more or less related to the first post... can I split a 125 ml liquid yeast vial into 5 vials (25 ml each one)? 4 vials in order to freeze and the last one to make a starter and pitch into wort? I mean, instead of making a starter first and then left something to freeze and...

What's the problem with my belgian wheat?

Final gravity value was around the typical values i usually get with the recipe, so I don´t think it as the source of the extra sweetness, and the orange peel is bitter curacao... I´ll give it another week and let´s see how it taste! Thank you!

What's the problem with my belgian wheat?

Hi all, I brewed a Belgian wheat beer, and had it in the fermenter for more than three weeks. Carbonated with cane sugar, 6 g per litre. After two weeks in bottle, I tasted the first one, and it has a sweet taste, like the sugar has not been converted to alcohol and CO2. Here is my recipe: 3.3...

No gas on my dry stout! Need help...

Hi all, I brewed a dry stout and I´ve just tasted the first bottle after 3 weeks of conditioning. The taste was ok, but it has no gas at all! I carbonated it with 1.75 volumes with cane sugar, so I don´t know where the problem can be. I´m thinking the reason could be I fermented it for three...
