    Possible Infection?

    Okay ....I opened my very first batch of beer yesterday to try it out. It was 1 week in primary, 2 weeks in secondary and 2 weeks in bottles. When I poured it into a glass it was VERY cloudy. I then gave it a quick taste and it was sour. Had sort of a green apple taste. Anyway, I let it sit...

    Is it possible to make a 100+ IBU IPA from a partial boil? 5gal batch... Is there a "max" IBU for a partial boil?

    Cloudy beer?

    No signs of CO2

    I believe my beer is fermenting but I'm showing no signs of CO2 bubbling....is this okay? Thanks new homebrewer :mug:

    Pitching yeast?

    Is there a rule of thumb for pitching yeast? I'm looking to make an APA and want to use Irish Ale yeast from Wyeast Labs. Should I pitch it in the high 60s? Low 70? Mid 70? Any help would be great. Thanks new homebrewer :mug:

    Boil size? Batch size?

    My recipe says Boil size is 6.5 gal Batch size is 5 gal What exactly does this mean? I want to boil 6.5 gal of water + sugars? Thanks from a newbie brewer! :mug:

    Bottled water?

    Does anyone know if I should sanitize the store bought bottles before adding the water? Or is bottled water okay to add right away...? Sorry for the question....new brewer. :mug:
