    Emergency room red ale

I was brewing a red ale. Then my wife was feeling terrible all of a sudden, so we left for the emergency room. I took 5 minutes to throw everything in a carboy and a pack of dry yeast (better risk it than throwing it away) It was at 35°C (95°f) when i put dry yeast pack and had boiled foronly...

Hola ! I just mixed my first kit of red Shiraz wine. I did it yesterday and fermentation is slowly starting today ! I did a lot of research and I read that I should mix it daily during 1st fermentation. Apparently I have to mix enough to get all co2 out. Can I use an electric hand...

    Hall of shame

I started brewing in February 2015. I started with a couple of coopers extarct kits. I was proud of them. Now in may I bought all grain equipment. I have brewed 3 batches so far (red ale, Porter, blond ale). Wow ! The difference ! I'm now ashamed of my extract kits. Can't wait to have them all...

    Beer did not prime ??

I bottled a 5 gallon batch of "Bailey's red ale" about 3 or 4 weeks ago. And I barely have any bubbles ? I used a lot of priming sugar since I like it very bubbly (about 1.5 cups of pure Amber maple syrup for 15 liters). All my other beers turned out fine (Peggy's stout, nugget nectar..) And I...
