    Using hydrometer with 1 gallon

    Ok so I have a one gallon batch of IPA that I brewed a little over a week ago and I'm about to take a hydrometer test. I don't want to waste any of my batch because iris so small so can I just sanitize the hydrometer and drop itin the 1 gallon fermenter to take the reading or not???

    Has fermentation stopped!?!

    So I brewed this 1 gallon batch this past Saturday and the past 4 days ignored has been fermenting just fine. I got home from work today and this is what it looks like. Almost a complete 180 from the past few days.. Has fermentation stopped? I can see little chunks of hops still floating around...
