    CRAP! Left Fermenting Heater on overnight

    I was downstairs and my beer was mid 50's its a Red Ale. I was going to be down there for a few hours anyways well I turned the heater on and forgot till today. I even have a Johnson control arggh! So 18hrs it was on and the beer was almost 90 degrees and air lock was mildly bubbling...

    6 gallons of water for 5 gal batches

    Question is Using the brew bucket you end up with 4 gallons of beer using the bucket, will making 6 gallon batches work off a 5 gallon kit? maybe ferment longer to make up for the extra liquid?

    kegging/filtering

    Pretty new here and thought Id ask and sorry its probably gone over hundereds of times Whats your filtering method? Using a Brew Bucket with a spigot i could put a filter on the end when i go to keg to take out the fines, but just heard adding gelatin will clear this up, like 1/2tsp in 10oz...
