    Help me identify my Hops

    So I planted 2 rhizomes each of 2 different varieties (Centennial and Willamette). Of course I neglected to mark which was which, assuming that I would remember.:o Anyone know a good way to tell the difference? Here's some photos: Variety A Variety B (2 plants)

    50's GE Fridge Conversion

    My Fridge looks much like this one. The problem is that ball lock kegs are too tall to fit under the icebox. Can I safely bend the icebox? Is it necessary to the function of the fridge, could I just remove it?

    Hi, I'm trying to find a yeast that I can use for English styles ranging from Bitter to Stout. I really liked Wyeast West Yorkshire 1469 in Northern Brewer's Innkeeper kit. Would 1469 work for an oatmeal stout? Would it work for English IPA? Is there another strain that would work...

    Should I add more dry hops to my IPA?

    Hi all, I'm currently brewing my second batch, first one turned out great. It is a Northern Brewer Chinook IPA extract kit (OG 1.050). The kit included 2 oz of Chinook in the boil, and 1 oz for dry hopping. I love hoppy beers and wonder if this brew would benefit from adding another hop...

    Substitute for Pale LME

    I'm new to homebrewing. So far I've got two extract kits fermenting. I am trying to collect ingredients for a red ale recipe. The recipe calls for Pale LME in two 3.3lb additions. I am having a hard time finding it. Could I substitute Gold LME? Light LME?
