    It tastes wonderful

Sunday, I got the Irish Stout off of Midwest supplies and highly recommend it as I'm not a huge stout fan myself, but this is one tasty beverage. I brewed it knowing I'd have one every once in a while and wanted to see the various tastes as it ages :). I like your Brew name as I brew on Sunday...

    It tastes wonderful

Thanks, it could use another week or so in the bottle as it's only been two weeks but I was really happy with the results.

How to celebrate your 21st anniversary!

That sneaky pic is classic, my SWMBO should be glad to know I'm not the only one who sneaks those shots in, hell, all of our SWMBO's should be glad to know we're not the only ones :D

Friday night after a beer run

To the OP, very nice selection you have there as I am a huge Sierra fan, I loved that Celebration Ale and just tried the Torpedo for the first time a few weeks ago (half to go outta state to get the Torpedo) tastes great. To Beau, you are one lucky son of a......I mean lucky man. I had to...

    It tastes wonderful

I was finally able to try my homebrew last night, and I was really happy with the results :D. We decided to go hiking in Zion National Park to kick the day off and return home to relax with a couple glasses of HB. First we tried the Irish Stout, which has a really distinct roasted flavor at...

    quick survey

I voted yes, but don't think years is a good idea. I'm cracking my first batch open on Sunday and have a 22 ozer that I'm going to keep around for six months to try.

What styles can you not drink?

I've found the quote for my sig! :ban: As far as beers I don't like: Henry Weinhardts Hefe was absolutely terrible, first Hefe I didn't like. Blue Moon tasted like a stale Coors and can't imagine trying it again. Pyramids Apricot Ale gave me a badass headache, but I do wanna try a cherry stout.

    Co2?

    double post

    Co2?

Yeah, that's a way better deal. I was thinking of just gettin a cheap used fridge and converting it for beer goodness:mug:, I guess someday I'd like to be able to put 4 kegs on one fridge or however many will fit. By the way, how big are the corny kegs?

    Co2?

About how long does a 5# bottle of Co2 usually last? And is it worth it to get a Kegorator conversion kit with a Co2 bottle for $281.96?

    Covering wort during ice bath

I use a disinfected whisk with my ice bath, cuts time down to about 10-12 min till it hits 80* and top off water cools it down even more.

    Lesson Learned (Learnt!)

The only problem is, who can wait that long? I'm doing all I can to wait 4 days past 2 weeks in the bottle for a friend that I havn't seen in 9 years........then again, it is my first batch :)

Going to California and will have a lot of time and brain cells to kill.

While in SLO you must hit up Avila Beach, it's only about 15-20 min from there south on the 101. Not any breweries but it's very beautiful, it's a must see. Oh, I don't know if it's still there or not but you should look for a resturant called The Jetty, excellent seafood right on the...

    Another one in the primary

:D I started a Lemon Corriander Wiess (Lemon Wheat Beer) on Sunday, and right after that, my buddy started a doppelbock :) We now collectively have 20 gallons on their way, with 10 of those gallons that will be ready to drink this coming Sunday. 5 gal of double IPA and 5 gal of Irish Stout, I...

    Dry Hop First Timer--Questions

I dry hopped with leaves in a carboy, and it was a lot of work getting that bag in through that skinny neck. We were worried about not being able to get the bag back out but after it sits in there for a week it tears really easy and then you can just rinse out the hops. We just did this on...

if hosting a party, what beer do usually serve?

Last time I had a get together I had Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, Stout, Porter, and Barleywine. The guests brought over some Saporo, Full Sail, Fat Tire and other misc. goodness. Usually everyone agrees to bring over what they like and then we all try each others out. :mug:
