    F'd up with pool water

Yeah, very awesome pic? 10-20?! Now that's fast! Flow rate is pretty slow. Should I turn up the flow rate?

    F'd up with pool water

It is maintained every friday by a guy that i pay $85 dollars/month. So yeah, it' spotless. Best news I've heard in 100 years and I'm only 40 years old. Thanks!:mug::rockin::fro::D

    F'd up with pool water

So to cool down the wort we submerge the boil keggle in the pool and put a copper wort chiller in the wort. It works really well. It goes from 200+ to 70 degrees Farenheit in about 45 minutes. So after getting down to 70 degrees we tote it to a table and open the ball valve to let the liquid...

How to create 67 to 70 degrees farenheit environment for fermentation vessel?

This may be the simplest and cheapest option, given that I already have one of those tubs you're talking about. Each one of my brothers has a spare fridge. One is mine. Just gotta' get one of those fridges in my possession.

How to create 67 to 70 degrees farenheit environment for fermentation vessel?

Nice, very nice. Unfortunately I don't have much space to work with. Probably going to go with a fridge and temp controller.

How to create 67 to 70 degrees farenheit environment for fermentation vessel?

Seems like more work than I'm willing to do or my family's schedule is willing to allow. Killer system and presentation though.

How to create 67 to 70 degrees farenheit environment for fermentation vessel?

So you know what kind of heat I'll be dealing with. Seems like a fridge and temp controller is the most convenient option.

How to create 67 to 70 degrees farenheit environment for fermentation vessel?

I wish there was a blanket to wrap the fermenting vessel to cool it from 80 degrees to 67 or 70 degrees. My closet in the summer time is at 80. I've been brainstorming on how to drop the temp. I've read about a tub of water and wrap it with a towel. The towel will wick water and drop the...

Wire brush pieces in liquid-out, ball lock keg post

From where do you buy them? $60 for the guarenteed seal, refurbished is a bit much for me. Especially now that I know how to refurbish them myself. I think I can use 2 more.

Wire brush pieces in liquid-out, ball lock keg post

Finally got this keg to seal. Had to replace the gas-in post and clean the liquid-out. In the liquid-out post I found 2 pieces of a wire brush that was preventing the seal. The seller must have cleaned it and didn't bother to check for a seal. The first thing I did was turn it over face first...

New to Kegging - Poppet Question

I have one more question: What is the difference between a pin lock and a ball locking keg. I've looked up images of both and they look the same to me. (OP: Thanks for letting me piggyback on this thread rather than starting a whole new thread. :) Reading your question helped me solved some...

New to Kegging - Poppet Question

The right side that looks like a star is gas-in. the left is liquid-out?

New to Kegging - Poppet Question

Yeah man, now I know what you mean about the notches. The wrench-on part looks more like a star or a sunburst rather than a typical bolt part that is wrenched on. I was sold a liquid-out for a gas-in. F'in A! So can I take the poppet out of my newly purchased liquid-out and put it in my...

New to Kegging - Poppet Question

I just bought a gas-in post; well the LHBS didn't know if the gas-in and liquid out were interchangeable or not so he sold me what he thought would do the job. So when I connect the quick connect/disconnect gas-in to the post it is an SOB to connect and an SOB to disconnect. Do you think the...
