    worst beer you ever made

A-Z Brown ale. I don't think I pitched enough yeast, and I think if fermented too warm. It tastes terrible.

    Best & Worst Brewpubs

I really like Grizzly Peak in Ann Arbor, MI. Their beers are really good, and their food is fantastic. Worst would be a closed brewpub.

    Wyeast Propagator Starter

That's what I was thinking. I've been doing Activators right into the wort, and those have been good. I'm trying to pitch better rates and not underpitch my worts.

    Wyeast Propagator Starter

I'm trying the Propagator pack with a starter for the first time, and I'm trying to figure out how big of a starter I need. If I go by Mr. Malty for a 1.049 OG, I will need 180 b cells. It seems that calc uses Activator packs, so I'm not sure how big of a starter I will need. According to...

    Hanks Hefe Weizen advice....

I would say it was only in that condition for a few hours before I was able to cool it.

    Hanks Hefe Weizen advice....

Thanks dougriddle. That's what I was planning on doing. I'll let it sit in the fermenter for probably 3 to 4 weeks.

    Hanks Hefe Weizen advice....

I started this one last week. I pitched at 68, but the next day was quite warm, and the fermenter went up to 77. It is in a plastic fermenter, and the top and bottom were bulging out, and the airlock was full of krausen. I just pulled the airlock out and let it foam, and moved the bucket to...
