3 vessel propane complete system (Charlotte) - $2500

Selling my current rig so I can pay for the remaining pieces of my new build. Asking $2500 everything included. Local pickup only because shipping all of this would be a nightmare. I live about 30 minutes south of Charlotte, NC. I'm switching to electric so I won't be needing this setup in the...

    Grain Dispensers

I might just go the Walmart route. Thanks guys. As cool as those dispensers would look on the wall/shelf, I can still stack the grains in tupperware on the shelf and save a ton of floor space.

    Grain Dispensers

My new LHBS just uses clear buckets. They aren't air tight containers but I guess they move grains fast enough that it doesn't matter. Do you have an example site for these 6 gallon containers? It currently takes 2 of my bigger buckets to 1 sack of grain (50 lbs). Well seeing as how these...

    Grain Dispensers

Not sure if they are airtight. I just recall the LHBS back north using these and I've seen others use. I thought maybe good for organization of grains. They do seem expensive though. Just trying to find a good source and price if it's such a thing.

I'm from Clover, SC. Not terribly far from Charlotte. Looks like about 1.5 - 2 hours from you.

    Grain Dispensers

Anyone know where to find something like this for a "reasonable price"? I am toying with the idea of getting a few of these for grain storage.

Charlotte Area (Rock Hill, SC - Carolina Brew Supply) Grain Buy #1

That's not too bad. Still, would be nice to have a group buy option in this area. When I lived up north, I would just pay $30-$35 a sack via the group buy.

Charlotte Area (Rock Hill, SC - Carolina Brew Supply) Grain Buy #1

ABS in Raleigh is a 3 hour drive for me :( I like the idea of piggy-backing on a local brew pub order if that were possible...

    Aluminum Boiling Pot

When I switched to AG, I bought a Spike Brewing 13 gal aluminum pot. I also cleaned it with OxiClean and had no trouble with it for years... I have SS now, but FWIW there's that.

    "Woman's beer" recipe ideas

Funny you mention that. I was approached by a couple friends to try to make a lemon shandy too. Guess I'll give it a go lol.

    Water additions.

Hmm I've never had a chalky substance in my kettles after a brew day since using brewing salts. I'm subscribing to this thread as I'm curious why this happened to you. Perhaps the chalk? I've not used that personally since I heard it's difficult to get mixed in easily.

Munich Helles Gavin's Mightily Malty Munich Helles

I'm getting ready to brew up something similar this week. Very cool to see your beer is winning awards! I had this drawn up a few weeks now and finally getting around to brewing it. Here's what I'm going to try for 6 gallons: 8 1/2 # - Pilsner (82%) 1 # - Melanoidin (10%) 12 oz - Munich I...
