Hey Guys, Im brewing this recipe tomorrow and thought I'd share it to see if anyone had some advice. Any thoughts? I am using rye for the fist time and I think this percentage will add good flavor without being too overpowering. Any thoughts or Pointers?

There is a really great Belgian Tripel recipe I used to brew with extract, 8.5 lbs of extra light DME to be exact and I want to do an all grain batch with the same recipe now. Does anyone know how many pounds of grain I should use?
Should I use a mix of belgian pilsner and pale malts? At what...
I was trying to get a bit sweeter beer. I am calculating brew house efficiency with the brewers friend calculator http://www.brewersfriend.com/brewhouse-efficiency/.
For the last batch I got 61.55% Brew house efficiency. I know there is a difference between mash efficiency and totally brew...
So I am new to all grain brewing and I am not getting the brew house efficiency.

SOO, I think im going to do an all grain Marris Otter with just these hops. I like the SMASH idea. Any suggestions on yeast? I do not want it to too sweet, and I am sick of us-05 as I have used it for most of my recent batches.
Any suggestions!?
we did dry them, just on an old screen with a fan, but I am not sure how much, we have 4 stuffed gallon bags in the freezer with all the air sucked out. I need to grab my buddys scale before we brew to make sure im not adding to much/ to little.
I just recently picked some mystery hops growing in the back yard of my new place (pretty damn awesome).
They smell like citrus heavy on the lemon, but the aroma is not overwhelming.
I want to make a simple pale with only these hops to find out what kind of characteristics they lend for...
Thanks! I was also wondering about carbonation. I have been directed to use 2/3s cup of corn sugar at bottling. But I haven't lately been happy about the level of carbonation. I leave about 2 to 3 fingers of space in each bottle regardless of the bottle size. Most measurements are done in the...

Wouldn't you know! Today I was going to head out to the LHBS to grab some new yeast and I took a final look at my fermenter and it was bubbling away!! To my calculations almost exactly 72 hours after pitching! This I guess just proves that you really do need to relax and wait it out. Thanks for...
So I brewed a stronger pale ale a few days ago that had an OG of 1.065. I am relatively new to home brewing and it was the first time I have ever rehydrated my dry yeast. I used one packet of Safale US-05. I boiled some water, let it cool to 100 pitched the yeast into the water and let it sit...
I was actually thinking of brewing a blond and that recipe looks pretty damn good. I Was thinking of upping the hops by .25 on each addition and then adding 1oz at flameout. What do you think?
