    What are you drinking now?

This is kind of my house no boil hazy. Always looks similar but i swap the ingredients. I love how the foam is so dense it makes shapes in the glass. Lacing is excellent too. This one is citra and galaxy.

    Best time to add coconut

Secondary. Never had any issues with head retentiuon in stouts but i dont boil mine (unless its an imperial. I buy organic chips heat them in oven at 100c until they start to brown. I turn them with my hands and never get any oil on them. Not sure why but i get a really strong coconut flavour...

    Quick imperial stout/Porter

Voss kveik would speed up the process considerably. Have gone back to wlp004 though as i am not in any hurry. Saying that my last 9% tastes remarkably good after even a week but i intend to wait until Xmas before drinking.

    Risks using amylase enzyme ?

I added some to a RIS of mine and ended up at 15.5% adding another 3%abv. Resulting beer was far too dry and have never bothered to bottle it. I would be more inclined to brew another beer and blend it

How do i transfer from keg to pet bottle with a blowtie?

As the title states i would like to be able to transfer beer from a corny to pet bottle. I have carb caps, a t-piece and a blowtie but i cant figure how to connect it up. Lookeed on youtube but i cant find anything relevant. No issue doing a keg to keg transfer but this has me stumped. Cheers

    Two mashes or reiterated mash?

Never heard of anyone adding nibs to the mash before. Did you get anything out of it? I always roast mine too to avoid putting them in vodka.

New batch of carrots and new kimchi started!

You know what it would take someone braver than myself to try and ferment oysters. Had food poisoning twice from them and not something i want to repeat. lol.

    Verdant IPA yeast best practices

Great yeat for top cropping. Found the krausen takes about a week to drop. Very happy with my first beer using it. Just what i was hoping for.

    Sauerkraut FAIL

I forgot to put mine back in the fridge and had to chuck it. I found at about a week it was crunchy and a little tangy. I dont cruch the cabbage anymore as i like it crunchy. I top up with 2% brine and mix it with kimchi in wraps.

Thanks for the info. I picked up some dried anchovies this week so i might try a small batch with some of them until i can find the sauce.
