Need to hit up the Flying Saucer

I am on day 2-3 of my first all grain batch. Used a starter, pitched Sat. evening. Today Bubbles have all but stopped. But I will leave it in the primary for at least 3 weeks.

Around here I have only found it on tap at 1 place and none in bottles. I enjoyed it.

Alas....the bubbles even can't keep my short attention. I reckon the starter did it's job, and I had a rapid, aggressive fermentation.:rockin: I guess it is time to brew something else to appease my fancy.:mug:

Can't you just put a "collar" on an upright like everyone does on keezers?

It may be over, but the only way to know would be to take samples and get the exact same reading for 3 consecutive days. That being said. Alot of people will tell you to leave it on the yeast cake for up to 4 weeks. This allows the yeast to go back and clean up after themselves.

This is our 3rd batch. 1st AG. 1st 10g batch. And 1st time using a starter. Brewed yesterday, and within 3 hours of pitching we had activity. This morning, the airlock looks like a machine gun. Probably 5-8 bubbles a second. Neither of our other batches fermented this vigorously. Of course...

It is bad enough when it is vacuum packed. But how many damn twist ties are really need to deter a thief?

This? If so, what size are the lines? Seems something similar should be readily available for cheap.

Could the mill itself be used as a sort of lathe to true up the roller?

You could take off the temp control and burner. Then you could turn the tank into a solar water heater. I have been wanting to build one for a long time, just can't find a good free water heater yet.

It is basically just regular cream gravy with cocoa powder in it.

I know, but my LHBS is a little over 2 hours round trip. If it would be possible, I really don't want to make that trip for a $2 packet of yeast.
