Agreed. Of all the big brew beers Miller Lite is the most drinkable

    London Porter...is it stuck?

I brewed a porter three weeks ago and it appears that my FG is not getting down to where it should be. I had an OG of 1.057 and its been stuck at 1.023 for a week. Should I bottle it if it stays at this gravity or should I repitch? I used the London ESB yeast, no starter (its a 4 gallon batch)

They have some good beers there but the prices are outrageous. 13.00 for a Murphy's Stout

AG brewing taste differences, in general?

Congrats on going all grain! Don't underestimate holding a steady fermentation temp. Having a dedicated freezer with a JC temp control is the single best investment I made

    My half batch seems stuck

Thanks. I mashed at 153. If I rouse the yeast to no avail, should I just wait it out and bottle in a couple of weeks at 1.020 anyways?

    My half batch seems stuck

The estimated FG is 1.011 and its been stuck at 1.020. Should I try to rouse the yeast or repitch? Type: All Grain (BIAB) Date: 6/11/2011 Batch Size: 2.50 gal OG: 1.046 IBU: 17 Boil Time: 60 min Ingredients Amount Item Type % or IBU 3.75 lb Pilsner (2 Row) Ger (2.0 SRM)...

safale 05 = energizer bunny?? heres one for you

Yep. Just got finished checking one of my brews (I have two in the chamber). Brewed it on Sunday and had an OG of 1.048. Checked it and its already at FG: 1.012. US-05 is a beast!

Converting 5 gallong recipe to 2.5 gallon

Beersmith or Promash are great tools. If youre getting into all grain you should really consider purchasing one of the two. Not sure about promash but Beersmith is only about 20 bucks
