Fermentrack: Fermentation monitoring & BrewPi-www Replacement for Raspberry Pi

My RPi was on Stretch. Then I updated to the newest Fermentrack and started to get the 502 bad gateway error. Then tried the "fix environment" script multiple times. It appeared to hang on the part involving "stopping circus", so I killed it each time. Then I saw something suggesting that I...

Fermentrack: Fermentation monitoring & BrewPi-www Replacement for Raspberry Pi

Ok. I tried again and got almost the identical error (see below). Is it possible to do a reinstall from the one-step curl script and keep all of my settings? EDITED to add some additional troubleshooting info: RPi 3B+ running raspian; recently upgraded from Stretch to Buster; fully up-to-date...

It was stretch, but I just upgraded to buster.

Fermentrack: Fermentation monitoring & BrewPi-www Replacement for Raspberry Pi

Hi Thorrak, another person for whom the most recent update broke Fermentrack (502 bad gateway). I tried the fix-it script and got the following output: curl -L "https://raw.githubusercontent.com/thorrak/fermentrack-tools/master/fix-environment.sh" | sudo bash % Total % Received % Xferd...

Kegmenter Fermentation Keg - 7.6 gal

I have yet to try with wort, but I tested transferring star-san to/from the Kegmenter, and I was able to empty the kegmenter to a bit less than a cup of sanitizer remaining. I did need to trim the silicone tube so that it's just long enough to reach the bottom with an inch or two of slack the...

    Stacked SS Brew Buckets

You'd have to get creative with a blowoff on the bottom one, but you could stack two of these Kegmenters in about 30 inches.

Kegmenter Fermentation Keg - 7.6 gal

Update: Fits just fine on the first shelf of the Haier/Tramontina/Frigidaire 4.4 cu ft fridge. I am concerned about the strength of the glass shelf supporting the fermenter plus ~6 gallons of fermenting wort. I think I'll have to figure out some way to reinforce the shelf--or replace it with a...

Turning sankey keg into fermenter questions

If you don't already have a sanke keg that you're planning to use, this seems like a pretty good choice. Of course, if you've already got a spare keg, disregard.

4.4cu ft mini fridge for FV?

If you do end up going with Fermentrack, the nice thing about this Haier fridge is that the built-in thermostat is manual and thus very easy to bypass. I was also able to fit all of the Fermentrack components (except for the screen, obv) in the thermostat enclosure, once I removed the manual...

Kegmenter Fermentation Keg - 7.6 gal

Any idea about how much your floating dip tube leaves behind after packaging?

4.4cu ft mini fridge for FV?

I think I got most of my information on building my controllers from reading the two Fermentrack threads. Unfortunately, there are two (here's the other one), and they're long. Here's a good build thread. If you'd be comfortable building the old STC-1000 temp controller, it's not much more...

Kegmenter Fermentation Keg - 7.6 gal

For $160 including the ball lock fittings there's really nothing that's close for a pressure-capable stainless fermenter. And it should fit in my 4.4 cu ft fermentation fridge. I'll also update once I receive mine to confirm whether or not it fits. I'm psyched for the possibility of fermenting...

4.4cu ft mini fridge for FV?

It also looks like if you're a Sam's Club member you can save an additional $10.

4.4cu ft mini fridge for FV?

This fridge is a bit more expensive, but will fit the big mouth bubbler and the SS Brew Bucket* with no need to cut the door. It's just under 12" from the bottom of the compressor hump to the door. The internal thermostat is also very easily bypassed so you can use an inkbird or other external...

Kegmenter Fermentation Keg - 7.6 gal

With the 7.6 gallon on sale at morebeer for $160, I'm thinking of getting one. My fermentation chamber is a Haier beverage cooler that is the same size as the Tramontina, and I had the same thought as you: using the lowest shelf, it should just fit based on the dimensions on morebeer's site...

    Fastest 5 gallon fermentation time?

With a big pitch of my house yeast (WLP090), an under 1.060 ale is routinely at terminal gravity in 3 days or a bit less. I do raise the temp for at least 24 hours thereafter to ensure that there’s no diacetyl, but with spunding my beers I can go from boil kettle to chilled, carbed, and ready to...

Need a push please - moving towards plumbing/automation

@LBussy — I built a system that is capable of on-demand sparge water heating. My full build is documented here, but here’s a picture of the completed plumbing: Water comes in from my pipes via a hose that attaches to the blue valve on the top left side--it can fill either the BK or the MT or...

Native ESP8266 BrewPi Firmware - WiFi BrewPi, no Arduino needed!

EDIT: I updated to the latest version of Fermentrack and the temps are there again. I'm having the same problem. I do have a pihole (running on the same RPi as Fermentrack, actually). However, disabling the pihole doesn't seem to make any difference in making the temps reappear.
