I was wondering the same thing the other day at Home Depot. My concern was that it may warp/melt due to the heat of the water coming into it. I looked at the packaging and noticed it said "For Cold Water Only", so I did not pick one up. I would be interested in knowing how your tests go.

Cool setup! Sorry for the pun. I just had one question. I know there are no stupid questions, but could you explain or show how you re-circulate the water using the pump. How is it setup? How does it work?

Just a quick note, using vegetable oil to lubricate anything does not work!!! It seems fine now, however, vegetable oil will evaporate into a gummy mess. It will eventually reach a tree sap kind of consistency and become hard to clean. Trust me, I've been cooking professionally for over 18 years...
