yeah...I saw that too: "Snow likely, mainly after 4pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 27. Light and variable wind becoming west around 6 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 60%" is that going to stop this from happening?

South Jersey/Philly Group Buy... ROUND 35!

oh thanks! I noticed that the older GB threads never had the actual location mentioned, so at least now I can roughly begin to plan my trip into jersey... and he clearly is rocking the $#!* out of this! my brother in law lives in Texas, and it looks like his local group buy takes freakin'...

    WTF is happening here? infection?

managed to scrounge up enough plastic bottles, so I just used them. as curious as I would have been to let it ride, I didn't trust the buggers.

    WTF is happening here? infection?

you think it will continue fermenting at fridge temps? better safe than sorry though. I don't need a mess on top of the infection!

    All the dry hops sank!

how long did you have them sitting in there?

    WTF is happening here? infection?

I was actually thinking about using a few screw top wine bottles that I have. haha I missed the recycling pick up this morning by a few minutes, so that might work out smashingly in my favor! I'd take the "cider" right from the fermenter, to the bottle, then into the fridge to prevent any...

and I take it that it didn't look like this during your ferment, right?

    WTF is happening here? infection?

now that I am thinking about it, if I keg this batch...what type on concerns would I have about cleaning it and using it for "normal" beer again? are my tubing lines, gaskets, etc all going to need replacing? so would it be simpler to bottle it up and just have to PBW the glass afterwards...

    Pellicle Photo Collection

at the advice of some other members, here is what is going on in my fermenter: weird bubbles by natural320, on Flickr it is simply Costco apple juice and a harvested slurry of Wyeast 3068. I was going for a simple cider (like I've done many times before), but returned from a week long...

    WTF is happening here? infection?

weird bubbles by natural320, on Flickr well, I haven't seen this before in my 3 years of brewing. check that, the wheat beer batch I harvested my yeast from to make this cider had some odd looking bubbles on top, but nothing of this magnitude. I had used Fermcap and dry-hopped, so I...

CL kegerator score, but now I need someone's help please!

since I was planning on getting a 2-way manifold anyway, I am now leaning strongly towards getting a new 2 product taprite regulator when I order my perlicks from bev factory. if anybody wants to tinker with this dual gauge regulator, shoot me PM. $10 + actual shipping and its all yours! ;)

CL kegerator score, but now I need someone's help please!

like the title says I found a "too good to be true" beermeister setup on CL, an old Kenmore (made for Sears according to the sticker) fridge that he had modded...it needs a bit of TLC, but nothing too bad IMO, and I can easily fit 2 cornys in it! it came with an old looking (but supposedly...

    Cheapest New 2 Keg Keezer

oh no, not at all! I was just saying that I know what you were getting at! I really appreciate the feedback from you. it was kinda funny this afternoon as I was walking through Sam's; lo and behold, the 5cu ft-er was sitting up on a shelf... I just sighed and kept on walkin'! to quote...

    Cheapest New 2 Keg Keezer

yeah I know...my only problem was that I bought a "keg kit" from Rebel last year (tank, regulator, and ball lock fittings) to start making my own soda using a carbonater cap (which works quite well actually), and my cheap @$$ doesn't want 2 sets of fittings floating around. however, I think it...
