What temp post-flameout for the whirlpool hops? Does it make a difference if it is one large charge (e.g., 5 ounces) vs. two smaller (e.g., 2.5 ounces each)?

This really pushed attenuation, >80%. Checking my brewing notes, I also did not aerate this wort prior to the yeast pitch. My O2 bottle is empty. Despite the lack of forced O2, the yeast did a great job!

augiedoggy - does that meter need to be stored wet?

I brew only a few times a year and occasionally ferment a batch of peppers for hot sauce - I need something that will see 4-5 uses a year.

Yes it did. I have a 3 year old quad kegged that has plenty left in it - too sweet. If I recall, somewhere around 1.024. Too stubborn to dump it, it lingers on, takes-up space, and ages in my kegorator. This dropping a bit means it is less sweet :)

The goal for me was an inexpensive bittering addition. The can, with shipping, was less than $26. I will have enough for the next 30 batches :)
