    Dumping Yeast in Septic

I would think the more bacteria in there the better. I put some roadkill in mine every time I get it pumped. I don't know if it works or not but that's what my grandfather always did!

What is max temp. of fridge???

I'm building a keezer, I am going to use my old fridge for a fermentation chamber. If I set the thermostat as high as it goes and it keeps the fridge at 55-60 degrees why even bother with a temperature controller?

    Pitching on Yeast Cake

Depends how much Hops and trub are in your fermenter, and if the previous beer is higher in color and bitterness. I have had great success doing this with the same low gravity beers, but once I had to dump a batch because I forgot that I dry hopped in the previous one. I just started racking...

    CO2 Tank Keeps Running Empty

Crank the regulator way up, if you have a leak you will hear it or the soap solution will find it. If that doesn't work throw the whole thing in the tub, just make sure you take the guages and regulator apart and dry them with a hair dryer.

Do I have to pasturise, cold crash?

    Okay sounds like a plan!

Do I have to pasturise, cold crash?

I let cider ferment down to 1.000 then primed with 3/4 cup of dextrose. Bottles sat on basement floor for a month at 58f opened one and it had no carbonation, so I put them upstairs for the last week and a half where it's 70f. If these do carbon are they going to turn into bombs? Do I have to...

    CO2 Tank Keeps Running Empty

Check those cheap gauges, I had a regulator that was leaking behind the face of the gauge! I got so frustrated trying to find the leak that I threw the whole thing into the bath tub!

    Washing WLP029

If you are careful enough, with a sanatized spoon you can scrape the yeast ring of the side of the bucket and pull out the clumps of yeast on the bottom. I just did this less than an hour ago, then I washed the rest of what was left on the bottom of the bucket as usual!

    Debating on a refractometer....

I calibrated mine with distilled water, then RO water, then tap water, I even spit on the stupid thing and they all read zero! My point being you don't need distilled water to calibrate, unless you have serious issues with your water. I make sure mine is dialed in at zero every time with some...
