Need help coming up with a band name..

In college I wrote a poem about my graffitied soul. I always thought that would make a great rock band name.

What "crap beer" do you secretly enjoy ???

I can't say there's any "crap beer" that I enjoy. Years ago I almost exclusively drank Michelob Ultra until a friend introduced me to Chimay Grande Reserve. I never looked back. That's what started my quest to find great tasting beer and eventually led me to homebrewing.

    Scooping out the hot break

There's an interesting experiment done by @brulosopher that helped me decide. http://brulosophy.com/2014/06/02/the-great-trub-exbeeriment-results-are-in/

I print the batch number on a half inch round label and place it on the cap when I bottle.

Can anyone give me an idea on how good Midas Touch is?

I've never tried it, but nearly every Dogfish Head beer I've tried has been pleasing to the palate. You should check Beer Advocate.

    the world's best beers??

Actually, IMO the world's greatest beer is in my kegerator. Taste very subjective.

80 degree room for bottle carb

I've done it with no problems before I started kegging. The beer is fully carbonated in less than a week.

Sight glass - Eye candy or necessary?

Sight glass = something else that I will eventually break.

Dead ringer IPA do I need a yeast starter?

Perhaps! But the last time I used US-05 on a beer I brew regularly, I tried it with two packets and was pleased with the results. I will admit, however, it could have been luck.

Dead ringer IPA do I need a yeast starter?

According to Safale's web site, there's only 65 billion cells per packet. I'd use two just to be safe. Because even then you're under-pitching.

Anyone Brew Cider Because They Don't Like Beer?

No. But I did make a batch of cider. I've been told it's very good. I don't like it.

    Chimay Blue Clone?

https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f12/chimay-grande-reserve-blue-369109/I have a recipe, but it's not exact and it takes 5 months to hit its sweet spot. But is this the thread you are looking for?

    Done with glass

I use SS Brew Buckets. I realize the cost is somewhat prohibitive, but I'm done with plastic. Scratches are no longer a concern and the ability to maintain positive pressure into the fermentor prevents the chance of introducing oxygen to the wort when cold crashing and racking.

    Kegging system advice

FYI: AIH http://www.homebrewing.org/AIH-New-5-Gallon-Corny-Keg-Ball-Lock_p_5100.html has new 5 gallon kegs for $75 + shipping. I highly recommend them.

LHBS (when your LHBS Stinks and it is time to walk away)

I have a brew store 5 minutes away from my house. The owner and employees are extract brewers and discourage all grain. When I was considering biab, the owner not only discouraged it, but attempted to demean me. So I now make a 25 minute drive to the next closest LHBS. I didn't confront the...

What is Maris Otter blend from Muntons?

The blend is supposed to be better. I think it's about 70% Maris Otter and 30% other grains lower in nitrogen to eliminate haze.

    Wort Aeration & Yeast

I forgot to aerate using O2 prior to pitching last weekend. There was no noticeable difference using hydrated US-05.

    Unappreciated Homebrew!

I've found that most light beer drinkers don't really like beer much and are a lost cause, so I simply don't offer them any. There's no sense in wasting good beer on someone who won't appreciate it.
