    Sam Adams Double Bock

Anyone made this yet? I am thinking it would be a good candidate for a warm fermented lager.

"barrel ageing" with oak chips in a keg?

Yes it would be better to get ahold of an ex-Octomore barrel. Upon further review it looks like it's been done: Monumental (Octomore Barrel Aged) Alechemy Brewing Ltd

"barrel ageing" with oak chips in a keg?

Talked to the Mayor Pro-Tem, How is that beer related, he owns the local brewery and I always learn something new about beer. He was mentioning when visiting a new brewery ordering what they love to make and not always just what you love to drink.

    Next Step?

I would say you need to find something you like, and keep trying to make it better, otherwise what is the point? I am 5 brews in as well though I started 5 gallon whole grain, I am just getting kits from the LHBS that end up around $40 (with bottled water that's like a buck a beer). I just try...
