Help!! Tons of pressure in fermenter

Ok, before reading your comment I did just that. I have a spare airlock so I sanitized that in a bucket of star San and sanitized the area around it and in the grommet where it seals.

Help!! Tons of pressure in fermenter

Just came home from work and came home to this. The top of the bucket is bulging from pressure and it looks like the pressure caused some of the brew to come out of the airlock. What do I do? Open the lid and relieve pressure then reset the airlock? I had a towel over the whole thing including...

Need to heat up my fermenter

I'm a newbie to home brewing but I'm using a 15 gallon plastic tub and filling it about halfway with water and using a fish tank heater. I'm using a 50 watt but if i were to buy again I would buy something bigger. Make sure you check how low the heater goes because some only go down ~68ish...

    Measured OG after pitching yeast

So, I officially started my first batch ever of Homebrew. I end up going with the Graff cider. I think I may have made an oopsy though. After I pitched the yeast, I stirred it with a thoroughly sterilized stainless spoon and then took my original gravity reading. Suggestions? Comments?

    DIY Malt Crusher Build

I had already made the rollers last night so I've already committed to the roller design lol. I think the roller would be a cool project though I haven't gotten my DIY project fill in a while. I should also already have everything to make the roller design

    Repeating ginger bug problems

Hey i think that might be it! That looks almost just like it. So how do you avoid it? Or is that just a part of it all

    Repeating ginger bug problems

Kind of a stupid question but why is the yeast at the surface? Is it because there is ginger at the surface?
