    First AG brew log

I'd flip the freezers-you can't have enough room in a keezer! :mug:

    Probably a bad sign

I don't think that's what they mean by "directly measuring the temperature of the wort"! Looks like it's time for a new thermometer.

    Closed-circuit Fermentor-to-Keg Transfer

Sorry don't have any fixes for you, but I have the same problem transferring from my stainless brewbucket using gravity. I've gone back to the hose in the corny through the lid opening because of it. I hope someone has a good solution, because I like the idea of minimal oxygen exposure...

Ultra Barrier Silver ID tubing resistance and line length

I've been using 10' lines of the Ultra barrier silver in both a chest freezer with picnic taps and a minifridge kegerator with a 3 tap tower with perfect pours at various serving pressures. Are you opening the tap fully when you pour? My wife kept getting foamy glasses until I asked her if she...

    How do you pronounce it?

I say bee-ab. Of course, I'm just saying it to myself mostly.

Divorce and eventual relocation to Oahu Hawaii

Talk to your HR dept about COBRA insurance. This allows you to stay on your current employers insurance plan for 6 months(I think), but you have to pay the full premium cost.

What's a good choice of beer for a first-time all grain brewer?

What method are you using? High wheat content can lead to stuck sparges, but rice hulls can help.

    Finding an electrician

How about posting on Craigslist? Someone might be looking for a little sidework for some cash and beer

    Sight gauge ???

Is your sight gauge open at the top? My brewhardware one is and I just blow into the open top occasionally to mix/swap out the liquid.

    Bayou classic steamer baskets

You haven't given any details about your crush. I would look at that first. Do you use your own mill? What gap setting? LHBS mill? Have you tried double crushing? Sparging can help, but crush is the 1st step.

Is this even possible? EBIAB dual 120/240v controller

Hi Doug, Just starting to put together my parts list and have a couple of questions: I don't see any kind of emergency stop. Is the GFCI tripping or turning off the main power switch-SW 8 act as an emergency off? For the LED indicator lamps IND-1, the one for the 240v receptacle should be...
