    Bud Light "ingredients label" commercial

Actually, the Brazilians own Bud Light. And the ads are subterfuge, assuming (correctly) that most consumers don't know the difference between corn sugar and high fructose corn sugar(HFCS, you know, the bad stuff).

    Picobrew Z

Well, here's the email I woke up to this morning: Here is your weekly update on all things Z. SCENE I. A cavernous laboratory. In the middle, a brewing Z1. Ominous thunder. Enter three engineers... We hit a production pothole this week when our QA team noticed blistering in the powder coat...

    Sulfur smell in hefe

The refractometer does not read properly in the presence of alcohol. There are calculators online that can make the corrections for more accurate readings, but a hydrometer is best for FG readings. The sulfur smell will usually condition out, but don't keg or bottle until it's gone.

    White Stout Recipe Question

I did a golden stout last year. I made a tincture of cacao nibs soaked in vodka added along with whole coffee beans(drybeaning) in a secondary keg for a few days. Members of my club said I nailed it

    Fermenting in Cans?

The seams are the weak link. The cans won't explode, they will just leak at the seam. I've can conditioned with mixed results. I've done wheat beers at 3.5 vols with no problem and some that leaked at the seams. Use the seam checker and check your seams regularly. I got complacent and didn't...

Not exactly "free" shipping, considering that same bag is about $35 in the store. Still a good price price for mail order though.

Anybody make the Oberon kit from Bell's?

I made the all grain kit that came directly from Bell's earlier this spring. I used Bell's yeast that I cultured up from bottles of Amber. The main problem was the ibu's. Recent crops of German hops have been about 1/2 their normal ibu range, but Bell's didn't account for this in the kit. Oberon...

Looks like Northernbrewer/midwest at it again...

It's all part of the AB-InBev evil plot to put all the other homebrew shops out of business by raising their prices so the LHBS can't compete and....oh wait.

    Diacetyl In Keg

I think you're right, but I was just throwing out dirty lines as a possibility. I had just read this article this morning: https://www.homebrewersassociation.org/how-to-brew/5-common-homebrew-flavors-fix-pt-ii/ I had a beer that seemed to develop diacetyl over time, and my lines hadn't been...
