    BIAB and sparging

I ran into basically the same problem as the OP today. I have a 14g pot, but I am wanting to make 9.5g of beer, so the water+grain is too much for my 14g to hold if I don't add water. I used an old refigerator grate that rests on top of the kettle after pulling the grains out, I set it on...

    NG conversion of GasOne 5250

I did not end up using a regulator. There is a ball valve at the gas main and another one on the connection point. The male end in pic goes into gas line coming out of the ground.

    Kitchen/Hops scale

Does anyone have a good recommendation for a decent kitchen/hops scale that is accurate. Just bought one off amazon and it is complete trash, had to return it, they all kind of look the same to me...

    Perlick Faucet Problem

Sorry to revive such an old thread but do you know what o-ring you used to seal this? My brand new perlick is leaking when I connected it to a brand new Krome dispense shank. Same perlick does not leak on my kegerator, just on this new shank. I"m reading there are some incompatibilities, just...

New kegerator build, tap is leaking at connection to shank.

Very strange issue i'm running into with my new kegerator build. I put my brand new perlick taps on the shank and when I hook the beer line up it leaks like crazy out the holes where you tighten. I tried loosening the collar, tried tightninig it as much as possible, tried loosening the shank...

    Duotight inline regulator question

Ok thanks, yeah i just didn't have it tight enough, and the keg had 30 psi pressure in it as well, once I de-gassed the tank and turned the regulator knob it worked.

    Duotight inline regulator question

Ok I just got these duotight inline regulators (with integrated gauge) or my keg fridge build. I have them all hooked up in series ( see picture ), gas line connected and set to about 35 psi. the issue i'm having is when I turn the yellow regulator knob it doesn't have any effect. All the...

    Frigidaire mini fridge FFPA4422UM

I had the same experience trying to convert a small fridge into a kegerator. Coolant lines were all over the back and sides of the unit, did the same thing you did, small hole poke around didn't sense anything, then drilled a slightly larger hole and nicked the line. Bought a purpose built...

Need major help with my seltzer setup

Ok so i got the evabarrier and all the connectors finally. Force carb'd the water by shaking for 3m at about 50 psi. Let it rest for an hour or two and tested. Regulator set to 35 for serving, and it's coming out nice and sparkly which is great but there is still 'sputtering' going on as it...

    Carbonated Water Keg

In working to connect evabarrier 4mm to my keg I needed to use a MFL quick connect ball lock, which has a 1/4" (screw in) type connector. You then use a duotight fitting to connect the MFL to the line. The other end of the line I am using a pluto tap. The EVAbarrier doesn't 'naturally' go on...

    Evabarrier line length for soda

Is there any difference in the way it's coming out now vs before? I assume you are keeping 35psi on all the time? If that is the case it should be well carbed... Do you think there is perhaps some turbulence being introduced with the tap or the post/poppit?

How many pounds of roasted coffee in 2022?

I have a drum roaster that i use with my grill, capacity is 7.5 max so I usually do around 6 at a time and usually only need to do that once a month. Right now splitting between decaf and regular. Here is a link to my roaster : 6 lb Coffee Roasting Drum | RK Drums - Professional Batch...

How many pounds of roasted coffee in 2022?

I have been doing maybe 6 green pounds a month. My wife and I use half of it for cold brew, and the other half I sell off to friends. So probably 70 or so pounds in 2022. I get my beans in bulk from Bodhi leaf importer maybe 60+lb at a time. I'd try to sell more but it's a pain to keep...

    Evabarrier line length for soda

Thanks for the response! So based on what you are saying unless you drink it quickly or keep it at a high PSI it will eventually equalize the pressure with what is in the solution ( assuming typical serving temps, etc ). I hear a lot of people saying they force carb at 30-psi, then serve at...
