Just find out where you can buy kegged beer and call them up and ask about it. Many LHBS in my area give 30 bucks for them as they turn them into the owning brewery.
There are times I am convinced that I enjoy actual brew day activities more than partaking in my frothy goodness.
Smaller batches can give me that brew fix more often. I haven't tried smaller than 5g batches but this also gives opportunity gain experience and learn through experimentation...
I had similar issue and mine tuned out to be bad oring on co2 dip tube. I had set psi at 10 for over week and tons of foam but wasn't overcarbed. With help here I was able to figure it out. Just another area to find the culprit. Gl.
LHBS out of flake corn.
What can I substitute without straying too far from the original recipe? Instant grits maybe, but how much if so?
This is what I planned to use before no corn.
5.5 lbs two row
2 lbs corn
1.0 lbs rice
Thx in advance.
BierMuncher...Ive read up to page 45 on this thread. I'm new to all grain and plan on this possibly this weekend if I get my goodies put together by then. Looks like a good one to start out all grain with and if turns out its here for super-bowl party. My question is...are we still following...
That was it guys. The dip tube is damaged and that caused the o ring to be damaged when I reassembled. I'm going to replace dip tube and ring. Didn't have one so I couldn't test it but I'm sure you guys nailed it. Thanks!
Hey guys, Hate to ask but I'm tired of struggling.
With my homebrew in kegerator I'm getting lots of air and very little foamy beer out of my tap. Its been hooked up to co2 for 2 weeks at 10psi and its hooked to 12 feet new line and new tap handle. What can cause lots of air instead of...
These are the only plastic parts here other than gaskets...Just confused because I do not see them in any videos showing how to clean and reassemble the kegs...thanks in advance guys...
Sorry. Gotta upload'pics''. Work with me here. Been hitting brew tonight. Layoffs at work (i survived) and didn't realize beer would go down so well. Pics soon.
Sorry and i,m embarrassed to ask but. I bought corny from Midwest and was supposed to be rebuilt. Came nasty with horrid gaskets. I figured take apart clean and use YouTube for reassembly but no videos have these parts and I can't remember where or how they came out. I should replace if they are...
Im not as lazy as it looks, but I can't read every post in this thread.....Its finally the weekend and my attention span is runnin low.
Can you use a apfelwein yeast cake to start fermentation? Anyone tried this? Thx..
