    Wtf ipa thoughts

Schatzke I was using the crystal for color I guess if it was less I'd get the same but less abv. I like my IPAs both big bitter grape fruity bombs. I will be reading more and experimenting on brew days in the future. Thanks again

I used to do 3 week primary.

I've come around to the brulosphy.com way of thinking. 5 days at fermenting temp (depending on the yeast and gravity) then 5 days slowly raising temp. cold crash, gelatin, for a couple days and Package. It's not original to them but where I read it.

Schatzke Wasn't planning on dry hopping. So moving the 30 and 15 minute hops to 5 would lower ibu's? What does cutting the crystal do for the beer? Just trying to learn from everyone

First time using beersmith and it was awesome. Brewed a oatmeal stout and it was the smoothest brew day yet. I mashed in a little low 153 but all the amounts came out perfectly. I'll never brew without it. As far as the water profile I use campden tablets to get rid of the chlorine. Can't wait...

    hullo from philly

Well the Raz Wheat turned out pretty good. I mashed in low 148f, had some problems with the braided screen. I almost ruined the beer but it still turned out ok. Doesn't have a good head, maybe because of the low mash? But it's beer and this is the first brew that I think is good CHEERS

Thanks I've got a long way to go before I'm really proud of my brewing. Two test subjects (friends) liked my Pliny clone even tho it was way off, but I like learning and reading the forums. Still learning my system my AG pale ale was my first and I made a great wet cardboard beer. Oxidized it...

IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII'm 50 Just started brewing and I love it. I've been reading a lot of the older posts and I'll try not to repeat any old questions. I'm on my second A/G batch, it's a wheat. Adding raspberry puree in secondary in a couple weeks. I've learned a lot from Yooper and Revy...

    Easy home temp control

I am using the big utility tub with rope handles filled with water and ice bottles to the beer line with Yoopers idea with the foam layers on top and I wrap the tub with a blanket and I'm hoping this will help with the high temps and humidity in phila. area My floating thermometer stays around 68f
