    thank you.......so it's better to leave the beer in the secondary a longer amount of time for clarity. But not over a month. I have been using (roughly) the 1,2,3 way. So you are saying it's ok to use 1,4,3 if that's what it takes for clarity?

    thank you brew mistress..........the reading is 1.06 the beer is very cloudy but it taste great, just a tiny touch bitter. I did not take a reading in the beginning because I did now have a hydrometer until a few days ago.

    Hi all

    yes I agree my kids gave me an awsome gift. I live in a sw chicago suburb. I am assuming that the hops go in a nylon bag like the crystal malt because of the need to remove them after a certain time. Is this right?
