    Spike's upcoming eBIAB system

It's dissappointing/unfortunate that they went with a 4 wire plug as opposed to the 3 wire 220v w/ a separate 120v circuit like the SSbrewtech controller. I thought the original controller was 3 wire. This definitely takes this system off my list. (Of course maybe the controller could just...

Methods to measure wort sugar type percentages?

Correct, the unit reports those sugars as one if I'm interpreting it correctly. I'm looking for a method which measures individual sugar types but it is good to know that none exist or that it is too expensive.

Methods to measure wort sugar type percentages?

Are there any methods for the homebrewer to measure percentages of wort sugar types, glucose, fructose, sucrose, maltose, etc...? As opposed to this commercial unit which measures fructose, glucose, sucrose and maltose: https://www.noackgroup.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/CDR_BeerLab-overview.pdf

I'm referring more to the textbooks like kunze and de clerk. I don't have access to those materials.

    Drop break material then boil

Does the brewing literature state the differences between hot break and cold break? Does it classify one or both as beneficial or undesirable?

    Drop break material then boil

Do the brewing texts have any literature on dropping break material before a hop addition boil? Essentially boil, cool, drop break material, boil with hops (hop cooking)?

    220v power supply wiring

    Now if only the documentation for power supplies included specific country and wiring compatibility tables like: US - 240V - L1, L2, G US - 240V - L1, L2, N, G US - 120V - L, N, G EUR - 230V - L, N, G AUS - 230V - L, N, G AUS - 240V - L, N, G etc... or perhaps that would be too big of a...

There are several methods of handling unhandled exceptions in WPF. https://stackoverflow.com/questions/1472498/wpf-global-exception-handler You could easily then post the exception text to a url on your website to automatically collect them or just write them locally to a text file or the...

    220v power supply wiring

Agreed but take a European 220v hot and connect it to the neutral on the power supply and take the European neutral and connect it to the hot on the power supply. Should still work right? Same with the US 240v hot 1 to PS hot and US 240v hot 2 to PS neutral. Should still work right? Same...

    220v power supply wiring

There is a switch inside the unit. But can it handle 240v and is the 220v it claims to handle the same as the 240v I want it to handle? No documentation on the 240v because, from my understanding, European 220v has one line and one neutral though which is which is not known at any given time...

    220v power supply wiring

Agreed but documentation is sparse with a lot of power supplies. Often times, in the US at least, the terms 220v and 240v are used interchangeably (especially with items coming from China) So my question was leaning more theoretical with a practical bent... if that's of any consolation. Guess...

    220v power supply wiring

Can a 220v AC -> ?v DC power supply be wired with L1, L2, G as opposed to L, N, G? Most if not all have connections labeled L, N, G. I believe in the 240v system the two 120v hot lines swap as being the hot or neutral 60 times a second? As long as the power supply can take as input 220v, I...

    Boiling / Cooling speed

What about the no chill method? The wort drops clear over time... Also wondering what the effect is on pH, if any. Probably just a slower rise/fall but maybe little change to pre and post boil values?

    Boiling / Cooling speed

What benefits are there to the wort if one could instantaneously boil and cool? Are there any benefits to the wort of coming to a boil really fast? Suppose it could be done instantly? Better hot break (as opposed to poorly formed or less of a hot break)? What defines a good hot break vs. a...

    Mash rakes and low oxygen

Are mash rakes compatible with low oxygen brewing? I can't imagine a mash rake in an enclosed environment causing wort "shear stress" like a pump...? https://www.homebrewersassociation.org/forum/index.php?topic=28739.0
