I'd let it me. The risk of contamination is high. I had my Dunkelweizen spew all over and lost almost a gallon. I just let it go. You wont get as many bottles but that's better than risking ruining the enitre batch.

We saved bottles and cans.....and then returned them for the 5 cent deposit to get more. Ahh the college life, I miss it.

Yea, I've thought about that....not many are big into craft beers. Their extent of adventure in beer is bud light lime. So I guess if I did want to incorporate craft beer, find something that is easy drinking and people might be familiar with.

Try getting the temp up. I haven't used a saison yeast yet but from my understanding, the temps should be warmer. Anyone else?

I used 3068 for my Dunkelweizen and thankfully I had my airlock on tight enough. It cracked the airlock and was spraying every few seconds. I was able to rig up a blow off with what I had on hand. My OG was about 1.047 but it went crazy. It was fun to watch and smells good now after the...

HAHA the same exsact thing happened to me. Same beer and first time using a blow off tube. What kind of yeast did you use? I used the Wyeast Weihnstephan. It was quiet then 10 hours later my airlock was cracked and spraying krausen every 5 seconds!
