in just under a week these college kids have seen to it i have more beer bottles than i do holders for them!!! they buy dogfish head and bring me the bottles!!! i think in a month i'll have to start turning them away!!! maybe i might get some boxes and start putting them back incase i need them in the future.

my hats off to you young guys who drink overpriced beer and give the bottles away. you guys rock:rockin:

Ahh.... college days when all we did was haphazardly go to class, drink beer, and eat ramen noodles! The only responsibility was to make sure the fridge was full. Good find at getting the bottles.

Wow...when I was in college we had a fridge full of Busch Light and a cupboard full of ramen noodles. Money was tight. Every once in a while I'd treat myself to something nice like Sammy Smith's Oatmeal Stout. But for the most part we were pretty guilty of drinking the cheap stuff.

The only thing I regret about college is that I DIDN'T save those bottles. I was drinking Dogfish Head, Bells, Founders etc. and never once did I think to save the bottles. I started brewing my Junior year (a couple months after turning 21) and it never dawned on me to save my own and recruit others to save theirs for me. Oh well, we live and learn.

the college in my town is number one in forbes southeast colleges. it is a big liberial arts college. you know where the people who teach and the students have no ideal what real money is becuase the teachers get it from the government and the students get it from rich mom and dad!!!

some people would feel bad for taking the bottles. i figure if rich mom and dad are stupid enough to send thier children to a liberial arts college they get what they paid for.

i think it is funny i never went to college and make $80,000 a year. i see a woman that graduated 1st in my highschool class, and did the same at this very college working the drive through at mcdonalds!!!! she always thuaght she was better than everybody else cuase her dad was the democratic mayor in town. just goes to show you being conserative isn't as stupid as the liberials like to think.

Congrats on the bottles.

If you want to go off on liberal/conservative, democrat/republican, I'd suggest doing it in the debate forum - some of us aren't interested in anyone's opinions about those topics in a beer forum.

We saved bottles and cans.....and then returned them for the 5 cent deposit to get more. Ahh the college life, I miss it.

With meal plans as part of the cost to go to college, our young future leaders of the world can drink better beer. Good for them, maybe they will get a taste of the good life and not accept the entire country eating government cheese (what's next government beer?)
