    Software for first time AGer?

Suppose I should have asked first, but do I need to get any software? I plan on buying from NortherBrewer since it seems they have decent kits and good instructions.

    Software for first time AGer?

Just curious on your thoughts for calculators for someone who's never done any type of AG brewing. Thinking of going with the ProMash.

Decided to try an all grain.

Hey thanks jppostKW. We've already got the basic setup for doing simple extract brews with a few 5 gal buckets for fermenting and bottling. Just need something to set on the turkey fryer and the cooler/MLT. Pretty excited about it!!

Decided to try an all grain.

Well, I'm getting ready to come back home from Iraq, and my roommate and I (we're brother-in-laws) have decided to try an all grain brew. We already have a turkey fryer, and making a mash tun seems to be relatively simple. I've done a few extract brews from the LHBS before, but nothing like...

    What beer to get?

You're correct iron_city_ap. This is my third deployment, and I'll be moving shortly after returning home. I think I've settled on doing a hefe, just need to decide on which one to do now. I've done a couple of extract brews in the past, and now I'd like to try a mini-mash. What do you guys...

    What beer to get?

I'm getting ready to go back home at the end of the month, and I'm looking for a homebrew to brew when I get home. I'll be moving aprox 6 weeks after I get back, and I'm looking for an extract or mini-mash brew that's simple to make with basic equipment, and one that will be drinkable before I...

    Letting kegged beer sit?

Thanks for all the support guys! My wife and myself (and the kidos) will be moving about a month after I get back. I'm already planning on a hefevisen, dunkelvisen, and some apfelvien (sp?) along with a home built keezer.

    Letting kegged beer sit?

Thanks for the advice guys. We're trying to get Bud select, or at least bud light....i know, it's not homebrew, but given our situation, I still think it's acceptable!

    Letting kegged beer sit?

It won't get over 70. It's north oklahoma so the warm fronts are only in the lower 60s.

    Letting kegged beer sit?

My bother-in-law and I are going to be going home at the end of Feb (we're in Iraq) and our wives are getting a keg for our coming home party. The store they're getting it from has to order the keg and our wives will be picking it in a few days. My question is how long can the keg sit for. I'll...

Is there anyway to salvage this mess?

Well I damn sure wouldn't drink it. For all the trouble it's worth, it would be quicker to make a new batch than "filter" it to make it presumably safe. Just my .02.

    Hello from Iraq

Thanks guys. I could be going to Huntsville, Al. but most likely will end up in Austin, Tx.

    Hello from Iraq

Thanks guys, I can't wait to get back. I'll be building a kegorator and starting a batch of homebrew as soon as we move!

    Hello from Iraq

Well, I'm in Iraq right now guys, but I'll be heading home SOON!!! I love beer, and I'm looking to set up a home built kegorator. I'm also very interested in homebrewing. I've done it a couple of times, but I'm pretty completely new with the whole thing. Not to mention there's about a 1000...
