Preparing to make a imperial/sweet stout

Tweaking the recipe per the responses to my post. Thinking of changing the yeast. My HBS has Edinburgh which I have read is a good yeast for this type of brew. Also changed my bittering hope to Magnum - upped it to 2 oz at the boil and 1oz Cascade for the whirlpool. Will give me an IBU of...

Preparing to make a imperial/sweet stout

yum that Imerial triple Chocolate honey stout sounds delicious! Ive never done a secondary before. When you transfer, do you use an auto siphon or pressurized transfer? I dont think I have everything I need for a pressure transfer but if I use an auto siphon do I still take great care not to...

Preparing to make a imperial/sweet stout

Thank you for the reply. As far as secondary racking, id really rather not do it unless it greatly benefits the brew. I will definately add the vanilla bean and probably the corn sugar as well. When should I add the vanilla, cocoa nibs and corn sugar? Towards the end of fermentation or after...

    Advice on Bending Cooling Plate

All the tutorials I have read say to just bend it slowly. I think yo have the right idea - especially using the dowel behind it - although 2 inches may be too big. Found this which may help you.

    Homebrew Rootbeer recommedations

yeah after watching the video it looks like adding the yeast removes some necessary flavors. Force carb might be better. Would be really cool to have a 3rd tap on my keezer for Root Beer.

    Lagunitas Daytime IPA Clone

I fell in love with this beer when I was doing Keto. Missed beer so much and this one was only 4net carbs. If they werent so pricey I wouldve drank more but they are very tasty for only 4 Net Carbs and I think about 90 calories each -

I find that some hops smell like good buds. Im sure there is a hop out there that could give you a similar flavor profile.
