Since you have tried different kits and different water, do you know any other brewers in your area? Especially someone that you think makes good beer? It might be a good idea to invite them over for a joint brew-day to see if maybe they notice something in your process.
Brew Strong with Jamil Zainasheff and John Palmer is one of my favorites. tons of good information. I rotate between that, Experimental brewing, brülosophy, and basic brewing, with a few others thrown in on occasion.
Thanks for the info! I was able to get an order placed for pickup Sunday! My keezer died last month and so far I have been unable to get a replacement. I try to check every so often but hadn't seen this in stock yet. I had an order fall through at Home Depot last week, so hopefully this one sticks.
I use one of these style stoppers

with a 1/2" ID (I think) silicone tubing that fits over the center part. has worked very well for several very active batches.
