    New to stouts...first beergas tank...what PSI/setup?

In which order did you place the restrictor plate and flow straightener? Its been a while since I had a nitro on tap but I thought I remember being able to assemble them in the wrong order? There should also be an oring to help seal against the restrictor plate. Ive always ran my setup at 40°F...

Fellowship of the Homebrew XI: Stay Home, Stay Safe, Drink Up and Brew On!

Great first beer @fourfarthing, Conversations with Echoes. Have to admit I’m not too familiar with NEIPAs but if I was given the option of a second I would gladly take it 😁

    Brewery Auction, Charlotte, NC

Looks like some decent equipment might go for cheap if you're in the area! Alot of brewery related stuff but some may be able to be repurposed for brewing @ home. https://www.ironhorseauction.info/auction/brewery-equipment-kitchen-equipment-and-restaurant-furniture-288

    quickcarb and beergun

Sorry if I wasn't clear I was asking how many volumes you carbed to. Carb charts usually give you a range of pressures at different temperatures that all cross to a given volume of carbonation. For example, if your beer was at 39°F and you set the pressure to 12 psi your beer should have been...

    quickcarb and beergun

How many volumes are you carbonating to in reference to the chart? Are you hooked up to gas at the same pressure when you let the keg rest?

    how slow is "stopped"?

If you just pitched the Lacto "trub" it is likely that you soured your 1.100 wort and didnt really ferment it. Adding yeast starters after that pitch, depending on timing, was most likely deadly to the yeast not to mention that you would need a pretty healthy starter or a few packs of Notty to...

    Nitrogen and Pasteurization

Im not sure that the seaming process is quick enough to contain the Nitrogen you are dosing. All commercial examples that are nitrogen dosed(not including nitrogen widgets) are bottled on automated lines. Cans still use the plastic nitrogen widgets. Have you ran a test to see if you can indeed...

    Cucumber mint saison recipe—help?

I do whole cucumber(peeled and chopped) in a cucumber sour and my first try I did 6lbs(1lb/gallon) and it was spot on. Im on my 5th or 6th rebrew and havent adjusted. You may want to lower that though as its not the only flavor component in your beer. There isn't alot of sugar in cucumber so...

Fellowship of the Homebrew XI: Stay Home, Stay Safe, Drink Up and Brew On!

*PSA* My GF Raddler has an odd off flavour that I was hoping would age out in the keg. Its only been a week so Im still hopeful, but if it doesnt clean up i'll offer a few replacement options to whomever chooses my offer.

    Brett only culture for trade?

If you are interested in TYB Amalgamation II, I have that also. That one is extremely fruity, just over a year on my first brew with it and I would say it hits there descriptors exactly.

    Brett only culture for trade?

Ive got OMEGA All The Bretts but it was pretty fruity the last time I sampled @ 6 mos. I plan to sample again this weekend(just over a year) and I will let you know if it changed at all. With its description I was expecting more of a balance between earthy funk and fruity.

Fellowship of the Homebrew XI: Stay Home, Stay Safe, Drink Up and Brew On!

Offer is in! Just want to put out a disclaimer that about half of my list is still conditioning so I may take a couple weeks to ship. Bottles are ready though as soon as the beer is!!!!

First sour w/ 3278, yeast questions

Do you use the same yeast that was in the ferment or a wine yeast? I read through a few MTF pages this weekend and it seemed people use both methods. If using a wine yeast you will not be able to use the dregs in the future if you choose to build up from a stored bottle, correct? Also do you...

Fellowship of the Homebrew XI: Stay Home, Stay Safe, Drink Up and Brew On!

I am way behind on my brew schedule for this one so I apologize in advance. I currently have 2 offerings bottled for this round but have not sampled them yet after carbonating. I plan to have a double (hopefully triple) brew day this weekend. Fingers crossed I can get my fermenters filled!

First sour w/ 3278, yeast questions

Coming up on a full year in a few days! I have not touched any of the three main beers, only monitored airlocks to keep them from drying out and the occasional peek at the pellicle. Now to the planning stage to get this carbonated. Whats everyone do? Bottle prime? Keg prime? Force Carb in keg?

    Regulator issue

Is it a new regulator? I had a similar problem with a new regulator that I bought last year. I contact the company and they told me to hook it up to a tank and turn up the pressure to 30 psi and open the valve to allow CO2 to flow freely out of it(not hooked up to a keg). This fixed it for me...
