    Another Brutus in the making

Looking good! Like the wind/heat shields. Did you slot the mounts so you can adjust slightly to get the right height? Will be watching your progress!

    awesome sparge arm ideas only

Doh! Guess I've just never noticed it in the LHBS. Thanks guys - we're planning on going simple for our sparge setup but something like this would make me feel a little more comfortable if we "goofed" on the output on our pump!

    awesome sparge arm ideas only

Where did you find that? Did a quick search on McMaster and no luck (although they don't carry everything, just damn near!)

WANTED SERVICES: Keggle Welding in Seattle Area

Looking for welders in the Seattle area familiar with welding stainless - figured I'd ask on here before we go searching the Yellow-Book.

Wow... Keg Chairs for a cheap cost of $550

This gave me a chuckle. Browsing Craigslist and came across this post: http://seattle.craigslist.org/sno/clt/1482090082.html Uh just selling for the cost of Labor? Yeah ok - polishing takes some time and elbow grease but come on - $550? I could think of a lot better ways to use...

Best and cheapest double tap tower for homemade kegerator?

I'd second that - whatever you do it might not be a bad idea to put some fittings for interchangeable lines. I have several sets I swap in and out depending on what beer I have on draft to help maintain a balanced system at the correct pressure.

Source for Slant Top / Hoffman Style Console Enclosure - Any ideas?

We've been looking for an affordable slant top console enclosure - kind of like the hoffman electrical enclosures. The Hoffman boxes are all NEMA and aren't cheap! A bit overkill for our control box. Thought maybe someone on here would know of a source for something like this - doesn't have...

Best and cheapest double tap tower for homemade kegerator?

Yes! This is what we did on two of our kegerators. Love it - see the link in my signature for a brief how-to on assembly. It's the sturdiest tower you'll find for the money, none of those cheap plastic or tin foil styles!

    Buying a keg for conversion

If you search the forum you'll see quite a few posts on this topic. However - New kegs cost upwards of $150 or so This is what the breweries pay Buying used (and hopefully legal decommissioned) you should expect to pay around $30-50 or more Other means may not be as legal - as in buying on...

    Jaybird's Stainless False Bottoms

Depending on your coupler/fittings ... We're planning on using a Type 316 SS Yor-Lok Tube Fitting Adapter for 1/2" Tube OD X 1/2" NPT Male Pipe (Item #5182k135). And then just using some copper tubing as the dip tube. Some use stainless but we'll have a big roll of copper from our heat...

So I found the guide I think, in case anyone reads this thread in the future and is curious: http://www.joppaglass.com/burner/lowp_chrt.html

Brewery Build - Single Tier HERMS

Just trying to pass on what so many have shared with us. Thanks! Obviously we've got some stuff to work out to finalize things but we're nearing a point where we can begin moving forward. I'm excited to see everything come together.

Brewery Build - Single Tier HERMS

Preface: This project began, as many home brewing projects do, as a discussion over a few beers, debating the possibilities, costs and rewards of building a small scale brewery as a family. A father, the engineer, and two sons, the oldest of which is project driven OCD, the other the fun loving...

    Brew rig advice

As Yuri pointed out - it'll work, but something to consider - what will you be mounting to it, if anything? You'll want to have enough surface area to drill/tap if that's the way you decide to go. Of course, there are other ways to mount things. Again - it'd work just fine if you design it...

    Valves for Brutus Ten

So Kladue, apologize, just want to confirm. With the 11" WC, and the Honeywell VR8200A 2132 valve setup - I'd need to be running low pressure propane burners? And would you mind providing that link to the guide for what drilling size? That'd be great! Thanks for all your help

    Valves for Brutus Ten

Ignore my last question - I answered it myself. However I do have a follow up - this is leading me to question if the High Pressure Banjo Burner will work with this setup? Do we have to try and find the low pressure models? The High pressure states "only works with 30 psi regulator"

    Brutus Pilot Ignition

I take it you're suggesting that valve setup for safety reasons? (wind?) Quickly increases our build cost and ideally our MLT burner is never on - only installing in the event we have temperature control issues - we won't ruin a batch completely. BK though is just simply "ON" where the HLT...
