The key is a mixture of two items. The buttery flavor comes from an item in the restaurant business known as Phase butter. It is available in supermarkets in the isles with the popcorn products. I think it is called movie theater butter. Usually a vegetable oil based product. Mix to taste...

Looks like yeast rafts. They would have tiny bubbles around them. Otherwise just keep an eye on it. Should be fine!

Yeast rafts will look like they have very fine bubbles around the edges. Give it a few days. If it grows, its bad!

The point is to make the sugars soluble. We need to get everything into solution (wort) and drain to boil kettle. Then we sparge to rinse residual sugar from the mash. I definately overcomplicated my first few AG brews, now I can relax now that the process is no longer a mystery. Good luck...
