any fix for a warm fermentation

http://www.gotta-brew.com/system-overview/. This looks like the way to go. I'll be buying a big kit in about two months once my brew system is complete. I talked to main guy that makes these and they sound incredible. Especially since they can heat or cool from the same setup. Sent from my...

    Homebrewers in Charleston wv?

Yeah I was hoping someone had a bottle they would sell. Highly unlikely but it's worth a try. I was on a waiting list for a year and a half in Fredericksburg va, when my time came around I couldn't get away to drive out there to get it. Horrible timing.

Attention all wv beer gurus. I'm on a quest for Sam Adams utopia. I was setting here sippin on their imperial white and it rekindled the flame to find this beer. I tried for a couple yrs to find it and lost the will to keep looking. So any info leading to a bottle would be greatly appreciated.

    Homebrewers in Charleston wv?

I just read about chestnut brew works in Motown. I really want to meet this guy. We need more ppl in this state doing what he's doing to start this "good beer" revolution. I think I'll try and contact him this week.

    Homebrewers in Charleston wv?

So "non intoxicating beer" that's legal to sell within wv is 12%? I'm trying to decipher these laws, so who exactly can a brewer sell to without a distributor and what licensing would he or she need?

    Homebrewers in Charleston wv?

Thnx for the info. I deleted my Facebook account a couple yrs ago but I'll swing by CBC and see what I can dig up. I've only been there twice because the beers are to watered down for my taste. I've traveled for yrs and now that I'm back in my home state I want to get the craft beer movement...

    Steeping grains?

Ok thanks, I've been debating about trying a mini mash on this batch. I think I'll try it. Will honey serve the same purpose on drying it out?

    Steeping grains?

Well I'm writing my own recipe and I've already ordered the ingredients. Just tryin to decide how much to use. I ordered a lb of victory malt and a lb of caramel 40L. I wanted to use both but I didn't think I should use 2 lb in this small of a batch. I'll be using 3 lb of light dme for my base

    Steeping grains?

I'm about to do an American IPA extract/specailty grain. I was wondering what's the largest amount of steeping grains you guys have used? I'm still stuck using mr beer kegs due to room for equipment so it'll be a 2.2 gal batch. I'm planning on using 2 different grains. I've used a full lb of a...

    Specialty grains for steeping

I'm an extract brewer just starting to dabble in steeping grains. I just tasted my first batch wich was a belgian IPA and I steeped caramel 10*L. Turned out pretty well. I'm planning on doing another IPA next and I am looking for any suggestions on steeping grain choices or methods or just any...

    Getting rid of cloudiness

I've thought about trying the Irish moss but I've been procrastinating. Ill order some with the ingredients on my next batch. My last batch was a Belgian IPA so I'm gonna blame that one on the yeast, I used 3944. It turned out pretty tasty so im not to worried about that one.

    Getting rid of cloudiness

I'm a fairly new brewer and I'm having trouble getting the clarity right on my beers. I boil at full volume and I use an ice bath and a wort chiller for cold break. Any suggestions?
