I've had similar problems. A lot of batches I make have like 3-4 bottles that immediately foam up and start overflow. I haven't looked into it that much but I think it has something to do with hop particles reacting in the beer or something. Which i take to mean its the bottles filled at the end...

Thats a cool idea I would love to try, just dont have enough fermentors. I think I might throw an ounce of each in to dry hop. I know this is a noob question but is dry hopping solely for aroma or does it also affect flavor? Ive never dry hopped before.

Thanks sampler that just what i was looking for. I think Ill use that and dry hop with an oz each of cascade and chinook. I like the mixing idea too I have read cascade and willamette compliment each other well so I already have a few mixed bags in the freezer. Perhaps Ill use 1 or two of those.

You can use them if the have a thick neck beneath the cap. Look at Budweiser or almost any poptop bottles. The have like a 1/2in thicker part at the top. You can reuse these. Budweiser bottles work, but Coors dont work. I guess hard to describe but look at pics and you'll see what i'm talking...
