    Kegerator lines. How long??

Thanks for response. I just put lines on and wanted to test. I filled keg with water to proper level. Set psi to 20 lbs. released into keg. Burped a couple times. Heard the tank release more co2. I noticed though I had set to 20 lbs before letting into keg but once running through it...

    Kegerator lines. How long??

I got bev-lex lines today. My beer line is 10 feet of 3/16. Works well. My c02 line is 10 feet longs as well and 5/16. An I at the right length for both line? I filled keg with water and put c02 on. I would set c02 for 20 lbs and when I released into keg it would read about 10 psi different...

    1 faucet 2 kegs?

I am just getting into kegging. I have a kegerator with 1 faucet and currently one 5 gal ball lock keg. I am getting greedy and want to have another beer conditioning on c02 while other is being drank or even switch back and forth. I'm not ready for a second tap yet. Can I have one on tap and...

    Another newbie to kegging

What do you mean by force carbonate? Is this when keeping a consistent force of c02? Say 12 psi for several weeks. I've heard of other people rolling keg on floor with higher pressure and bleeding it off. Not sure if this is same thing. I have c02 cheat sheet for what level of c02 I would...

    Another newbie to kegging

Just purchased a kegerator! Very excited. Gonna use a 5 gal ball lock keg. Couple questions. 1. How much line should I use from keg to tower? It was equipped for commercial and bought a kit to swap back and forth from commercial to home brew. 2. Does kegging really save time conditioning...

is this batch fine? infection? (pics)

Bottle it. If FG is in range your good. Might still be ok. Not worth dumping yet. Try a bottle in about a week or so and see what it's like.

    Adding prime sugar and bottling

Worried mixing warm priming solution with cold beer. Not too mention poured on top of beer. But yes. I did mix the piss out if it. Which also could have put a lot of o2 in beer. But it's in bottle now so I'm no sure. Probably just being worried. Never did it that way before. Comfort zone thing

    Adding prime sugar and bottling

Just bottled a double IPA partial. Cold crashes for 2 days prior. When I transferred to bottling bucket I forgot to rack on top of priming sugar. So I boiled water, added sugar and added on top of beer and stirred the **** out of it. After every few bottles I filled I would stir it again...

    Double IPA ???

Brewed a brewer best dble IPA a little over week ago. Got it in the fermenter at 70 and bubbling every 30 sec or so. Been 9 days! I'm noticing the krausen has totally gone down and there is little islands of bubbles and dried looking stuff. Might be hops or yeast left over on top??? Not...

    Test: Temp while fermenting

I agree jbaysurfer. It's not gonna be published in a science book or anything. On a recent batch I insulated the tstat probe to side of bucket. I also had a glass 1 gallon jug with sanitizer. I would take temps of the sanitizer with a glass thermometer and was pretty darn close to what the...

    Test: Temp while fermenting

Couldn't brew my IPA today. Ended going and seeing Superman(very awesome) my fridge is a Sayno. It's black on the outside sides and silver in the front. I can't get model number but its at least a 4.5 cu ft. I didn't have to make any mods. My 6 gallon better bottle carboy and 6 1/2 primary...

    Type of copper/length?

So I bought 20 feet of copper 3/8. Couldn't get 25 so I would have had a 20 ft and add the 5 feet to it. Didn't like the idea of using a brass fitting to connect. Brought boiling water from 210 to 80 in about 30 mins. Couldn't get it below because my tap water is about 80 on coldest setting...

    Test: Temp while fermenting

I am going brew a partial mash Double IPA today. Can't wait! I've read a lot of threads about temps while fermenting and how it can increase 5-10 degrees. I have a fermenter and a stc-1000 temp controller I built. I usually insulate it and tape to side. Never had problems but I can't help...
