    Banjo burners

This is what I used. Worked great with NG.

    dollar shave club, anyone try?

I do it in 10--15 minutes at night after the kids are asleep. Mornings are hell around here getting them out the door. I'll never go back to disposable.

    Banjo burners

I was lucky to get two 10 gallon batches out a 20 lb propane tank (that's using them for HLT and BK). The Banjo/Hurricane burners can freeze up a nearing empty tank pretty easily. Maybe I wasn't running it as efficiently as I could have, but they are hungry burners for sure. I always kept a...

Texas 20 Tip Wok Burner - Natural Gas

Sold. Thanks! Will get it shipped out on Monday! Cheers!

    Single Tier Brew Stands?

It moves around smooth surfaces fine. All four swivel. So pulling it out from the storage spot along the wall to wherever I want it in the garage is easy. Now, get it on that cobblestone driveway and it makes a racket. Get it on the grass, and it doesn't move too well. Anything other than a...

Texas 20 Tip Wok Burner - Natural Gas

Forgive the overly detailed description, but I just tend to be that way. I used this for maybe a month, but replaced it because I thought it was having problems. Turns out, I had a leak in my line and the burner was fine. This is a natural gas burner with 20 tips. I have three more of these...

    Wet shaving thread.

I did. Nothing special. But good enough for starters.

    Wet shaving thread.

I caught this thread last night, and by the time I was a few pages into it, I had ordered a Merkur 34C and some Derby blades. Wish my face luck!

    Corny Keg Lids

Thanks for the compliment. Here is what I have on my 10 gallon corny. Looks very much like the link I posted above and the lid you have.

    Hunter's Basement E-Brewery Build

Here's my method for moving hoses. I have a small pan under the purge valve on my pump. 1. Close all kettle valves. 2. Open the pump purge valve slightly (if you are moving the output hose, open the pump output valve slightly as well). 3. Unhook the output end of the hose from the...

    Hunter's Basement E-Brewery Build

I'll throw in some support for temperature controlled mash while you wait to hear back from Hunter (though I can't speak for electric, which I'm sure is great). But having mashed in a cooler for a few years before switching to a temp. controlled, direct fired MLT, I can say that it's great...

    Why this distribution pattern???

    ...double post...

    Why this distribution pattern???

It definitely varies state to state. Some states require that you have a brewer's permit in that state. More money to spend. May not be worth it. Some states have agreement by geographic area. For example, Breweries in Texas used to sell territories to one distributor or another and reserve...

    Corny Keg Lids

I have one of those racetrack lids for my 10 gallon. I mean, it's identical down to the curved feet. But mine is a Cornelius. This looks close as a replacement if you can't get the valve unstuck. http://www.kegoutlet.com/keg-lid-reconditioned-racetrack-style.html?gclid=CN68yr6Y67wCFeRi7AodKhoAdA

5.2 Stabilizer, Low Efficiency, Tap-A-Draft, Hops, and other thoughts

Easiest thing to do is bottle up some of your tap water and send it off to Ward Labs. For not much money, you will find out what you need to adjust your water. The main minerals to pay attention to are Ca, Mg, Na, Cl, SO4 (they will report SO4-S; so multiply that by 3, and HC03. Your water pH...

    BG10 - Flame under burner

It has never been an issue. If it has melted, it hasn't lost its seal as a result.

    BG10 - Flame under burner

What about using the yellow teflon tape on the threads to seal it up well. I used a bunch of it on the tips on my jet burner (they are full of sloppy holes). Works like a charm.

    burner not working properly

You can put the tank in a tub of water while you are using it. That's what I did before switching to NG. Those burners really suck down the propane.

BG14 burner with Blichmann NG conversion

The one from Williams Brewing works. So I see no reason why this one would not work. Here is mine with the Williams orifice. If you want a needle valve, the one from Williams includes it and is less expensive.
