    Glass Etching?

I recently decided that my christmas gifts this year would be of the homebrew variety. I really would love to give out some glasses and half gallon jugs (full of course) with my brewery name on them. Has anyone made an attempt at this before? What are the possible issues? Any advice would be...

    Orchard Fresh Cider...Yum.

Wouldn't it just be quicker to throw it on the stove? You don't have to boil it, raise the temp to 180 or so and let it sit at that temp for 15 minutes cool and pitch. Thats the route I take. Results have been great. :mug:

How do i clean CPVC for my mlt?

I was pretty nervous about the plastic slivers in mine aswell. I used a bottle brush and a lot of hot water. Eventually I got it pretty cleared out. I was afraid of coming off with a plastic taste. None of that has made its way through in the beer.

Beware AG brewing and drinking - Memorial Day

Since I am just learning the AG process I figured I would do it on the not so sober side. Learning while a few pints in, seems to be the answer. As I see it if I learn it buzzed, doing it sober will be a breeze. :mug:

    Someone please fix my mash

So the first numbers where for a 10 gallon batch? If so I think I like that idea better. :rockin: I think I will up the grain bill and do 10.

    Someone please fix my mash

Should I up the grain and do 10 gallons? And I was worried about extracting some tannis with the 3 run-off. It sounds like my worries were missed placed. Any thoughts about off flavors?

    Someone please fix my mash

So, I need to get some beer in the kegerator, pronto. Out of beer+hockey playoffs=angry brewer. I have Ed's Pale ale on the to do list for tomarrow. Was thinking about doing a 8 gallon batch. Problem is I have never batched sparged before, and my pot for filling sparge water is only a 20q...

First AG - Recipe and Process Question

I hate to be the slow guy, but I am not sure I am understanding this split batch method. Let me shoot here and tell me if it is a hit. So if he mashes with 3.5 gallons. He would clear then drain 1.5 gallons. Add 2, stir, let sit. Clear and drain. repeat?

    can I do this AG?

Use the same grain bill and check in beersmith what your OG should be for a 4 1/2 gallon batch (depending on boil off amount). If it hits the target, you're there no need for ME. If you are are short you will know by how much. Top off to 5 Gallons and you are set.

when am i gonna get sick and croak?

I had an interesting experience with a recent batch, it came out tasting strangely similar to bud light. Does that mean I have an infection problem? :D

I know its crazy, but will it work?

I like the way you think Germey. I will give it a try. If anything other than the expected (failure) happens, I will let you know.

I know its crazy, but will it work?

After reading about it, it sounds like it would be handy for growing just not very handy for brewing.

I know its crazy, but will it work?

My thinking was actually trimming back the plant, I know i wouldn't be able to collect a large amount of hops that way but some I believe to be better than none. It isn't ideal I know, but it is that or nothing. Unless someone has a space saver option I haven't thought about. I just want to...

I know its crazy, but will it work?

A coworker of mine brought an interesting idea to mind today. I don't have the room to grow hops, I am a renter. Questions is would it be possible or has anyone had any luck growing hops in a topsy turvy?http://topsyturvys.com/10001.html What do you guys think?

    Regulator add ons

Sorry to bring this back up guys, but I have had no luck. The welding supply stores near me are not helping at all. Do I just need to buy a setup that has the 2 regulators on it? Or has anyone had success adding a second one on?

    Regulator add ons

I have seen pictures of regulators that have a primary and a secondary, even seen a few that have 4 or 5 inline. My question is how does a guy go about doing this. I would really like to just purchase the secondary and add it on if that is possible. I want to run a single line into my...

    AG noob. We strike again.

I boiled all the hops on the stove. I kept the same additions, size and time. An after thought, you guys might be able to shed some light on. I am noticing that my AG beers are not having the same vigorous fermentation my extract beers were. I am using my oxynator, and yeast starters the...
