    IBU's affected by using Muslin bag?

    I use a big BIAB style bag for all my boil hops. Works great and doesn't constrict the hops at all.

    Beersmith for $20

    WTF the site won't sell it to me since I live in Canada. Isn't it a digital key? EDIT: I contacted them through their website and within an hour had a response. They e-mailed my a paypal invoice so I could purchase the software from Canada. Excellent customer service!!!

    What is the best equipment for monitoring mash temp

    I just preheat the MLT with hot tap water. I'll fill it up and let it sit for 20min. I'm going to try adding grain to strike water next brew day and see how that works out for me.

    What temp ios your grain? Right now it's starting to get cold where I live and my grain is around 16C. I think we'll go with the thermocoupler and the 113-372/373/375-T probe that sniperd suggested.

    So I'm going to attempt to harvest the yeast off the 10 Gallon pale ale I brewed 10 days ago using Danstar Nottingham yeast. How do I know how much yeast to pitch into the next 10 gallons I brew?
