So my hops are going real nice so far but I have recently discovered something eating the leaves. I've tried neem oil and insecticidal soap but it hasn't done the trick. Any ideas of what I may have eating my plants and what to use to get rid of them?

Hey guys, I'm starting my diacetyl rest on an Oktoberfest I just brewed and was wondering if it mattered at all if I transfer into a secondary right before I start going down to lagering temps or can I do it once it gets there? Seems to me it would be fine if I waited (I have a scheduling...

I've read two different racking scenarios. One was to rack after diacetyl rest and slowly (5 degrees a day) reduce the temp to lagering temps. Or two, keep in primary and when the diacetyl rest is complete start to slowly reduce temp (same as above) and rack at around 40 and than continue down...

I made a clone of this in Sept and racked it to a secondary. Came out really good so I would definitely do it again.

Thanks, one more thing. Just found out I have to go out of town tomorrow so I need to figure it out if it will be better to rack it after about 36 hours or do it on Thursday evening which will be 5 days. Will there be off flavors if I wait the 5 days?

I got them from AHS. Not sure who they got them from though. I planted them way away from the house so that's good. I have some that are sprouting so I need to figure out how to protect them.

Hey all, my first post here. I started growing hops and they weren't coming up do I dug down to see what's going on. I found little white bugs had burrowed into the rhizomes. Here's a picture. Anyone know what they are?
