Storing bottled beer; proper storage temperature

Looking for ideas and suggestions for storing my beer after bottling. I've been made aware since the weather has gotten colder that yeast will go dormant resulting in flat beer. My man cave is a downstairs ground level room which keeps the beer at 64-65 degrees. Wondering what others in this...

Carbonation: How much corn sugar to use, different when ferment under pressure?

Thanks for the info Vikeman. Do you mind sharing where to find keg carbonation chart. I will need to familiarize myself going forward. John

Carbonation: How much corn sugar to use, different when ferment under pressure?

Fermenting 68-70f, started pressurizing on second day, started at 10 psi and later 5 or lower. Wasn't intending to carbonate the beer just ferment under pressure. All is moot at this point as I bottled yesterday and used 5 oz corn sugar. Time will tell if it's too much. Thanks.

Carbonation: How much corn sugar to use, different when ferment under pressure?

I'm still bottling, although I recently acquired a couple of corny kegs and Co2 bottle. But I have no fridge or kegerator yet so I'm still bottling. I have a batch of Russian Imperial Stout in the fermenter which I fermented under pressure and I'm wondering if I should adjust corn...

What came in the mail for you today?

I bought a Fermentasauraus from Craigslist, when I started researching it found the Fermzilla is much improved, Morebeer had it on sale so I bought it. Soon as my Russian Imperial stout is out of the Fermentasaurus I'll put it on Craigslist. John

What came in the mail for you today?

Bought myself a Fermzilla 27L for Chrismas. Assembled it and played around with pressure test. Also got 1 lb DME for yeast starter, bottle caps and some 8mm tubing.

    What are you drinking now?

The last 500ml bottle of my Old Rasputin Imperial stout (clone recipe). Liked it so much I have another batch in the fermenter.

Single Vessel Brewing System Temperature Stability

That's a good explanation and illustrates how to equalize temperature in the kettle. I'm already a fan of your recirculating eBIAB system. Working on 240v GFCI circuit in my garage/brew space. When the holidays are behind us I will pull the trigger.

    Homemade Bread Thread

So I made the Aleppo pepper mozzrarella cheese sourdough bread to go with standing rib roast and brussel sprouts for Christmas dinner. Came out really good this time. Good oven spring.

Pressure ferment w/ Fermentasuarus what pressure?

First time fermenting under pressure. I've got it dialed to ~10#. An Imperial Stout in fermenter and fermenting actively. What pressure should I maintain. I'm not aiming to carbonate just ferment. Very much a noob at this phase of brewery. Thanks, John

    Random Picture Thread

Left my Imperial Stout in the hydrometer overnight and it’s fermenting actively. So is the wort in the fermenter.👍

What are you paying to refill/exchange 10# co2 tanks?

Last word on this from me; I just called American Ave. Hydroponics in Hayward. Thirty bucks to fill a 20#, $175 to buy tank filled. So I'll still be on the lookout for a 20# tank. Won't be going to Air-Gas.

What are you paying to refill/exchange 10# co2 tanks?

I got a new 10# (empty) bottle from Northern Brewer and exchange at "Airgas" gave me sticker shock $79.00  What are you paying? Where are you having them filled/exchanged? John SF East Bay Area Alameda, Ca

Thanks for the heads up on the temp probe. I’ll consider that.

    New brewer new kettle decisions

Thanks everyone for the input, I appreciate all the different perspectives. Yes I could stick it out with my current kettle but I think I will pull the trigger on the larger kettle I’ve been lusting for and start my BIAB journey from there. I do want to add a mill to my bag of tricks. And once I...

    Homemade Bread Thread

This is today's bake: I've been baking sourdough about as long as I've been brewing beer. So far better at baking than brewing but working at it.

    New brewer new kettle decisions

I've been extract brewing for ~ a year. My current kettle is 8 gal and I'm thinking about moving to BIAB with a 15 gal kettle. I don't yet have 240v in my brew space/garage so I'm thinking of getting a BrewBuilt 15 gal with two vertical TC ports that comes standard and having one TC port tig...

What's your maximum capacity BIAB brews?

Please tell me about the insulation material. Do you put it on after reaching strike temp? Otherwise it would melt wouldn't it? Thanks, jw

What came in the mail for you today?

I was looking to buy a larger brew kettle too, probably 15 gal for BIAB, but was waiting until after the holidays to pull the trigger. Thought I'd try a smaller batch in my 8 gal kettle. No designs on kegging this soon. Now I have to buy a fridge before I can even use it. I could return it and...
